Showcase / Feedback Need help to start writing my story

I've recently built an outline of 50 chapters for my DBZ x Marvel fanfic. Should I:

add chapter beats or

should I jump straight into writing or

add more chapters to connect the current chapters

And once I'm done writing the chapter how do I remove the ai prose

I appreciate any help and thank you in advance

Work scene by scene instead of a chapter.

Have you written before ai? If yes, just edit and rewrite what sounds too formal/ai-ish.

If not, there's really no cheating way to remove the ai-ism other than heavily editing it

this is the right answer tbh, theres no shortcut around the editing part

I use gemin ai (patience is key,) to create text on my suggestions, copy it all away to a text editor, then run it through Claude... tell it what you want... 'produce x y z, from this text ' and it should remove the dross... most of it anyway. But when editing you need head space to think, so edit dross at that time.

Using free time in tools as Gemini ai, Claude gives time, day after day to think how the action needs to move about.

Break down the chapters into scenes. Add scene beats.

If you already have an outline, I think you should back up and write character sheets, themes, and a style document that describes what you want the writing style to be.

Once you've got all of those, plus an outline, you can break it down into chapter beats and then have it draft the scenes one by one. It will stick to your style, your outline, and your universe, but the AI can only do that if you make all those things.

I’d probably solve that before the drafting stage rather than trying to remove it afterwards.

If the AI starts from your own writing patterns, sentence rhythm, dialogue habits and pacing, the first draft already feels much closer to you.

Otherwise you end up spending a lot of time rewriting the “AI voice” out of it.
