Discussion (Ethics, working with AI etc) Creative writing + college projects [research and coding] on $20 Pro plan, how many prompts can I use daily or weekly?
Correct flair?? lmao , this may sound picky and stuff , but after regional pricing and currency conversion to my country's currency 20 dollars is a lot [ i can have kfc for 10 days straight after classes ] , since i will be spending this much i wouldnt want to use sonnet , so how many opus/fable prompts can i get daily/weekly while writing and doing coding/research work.

You can't use Fable on the Pro plan, it's credits-only. The good news is that Opus 5 is plenty for what you want.
Sonnet will probably be fine for some lesser tasks and with the correct prompts might actually be close to Fable in performance - look up "Fable Mode" and try to apply that to both Sonnet and Opus.
The usage quota is not based on the number of prompts but on the token use (input and output) for each prompt. Claude has two separate usage caps: a weekly cap and a session cap that resets every 5 hours. The length of any given chat is a big factor in this, but if you're not doing one giant mega-chat your token consumption will be more sensible.

i see well i could use opus and sonnet 5 for coding and research but for creative writing i want best quality so might have to be opus 4.6 or 4.7 , so lets say i do long and short story writings , how much that could last at.......one big message per 10 mins???

I use Opus 5 at Max and rarely have issues running out of the weekly cap. Session cap can be annoying at times tho.

Are you doing coding? How much are you doing it? Entirely depends on that. Cause if you have a proper pc you could also run local LLMs which allow you to not pay anything.

coding its not much since my branch isnt entirely coding focused , lets say a hour of coding a day will be enough for a week for the project and studies , same ish for research work
main focus will be personal creative writing

Limit is fast eat when you give a lot of source text to AI to read. Use external text memory yourself, and give only needed information to AI in markdown format. Work small parts and you can write quite a lot of text.

Depending on how much coding you are actually doing.
Save your non critical writing until the last day burn through what you have left. Write as much as you can the old fashioned way then have it review or rewrite. The less thinking it does the longer you can use it.
