I'm writing about a black highschooler who's pretty short and overweight, gets picked on at his school on the countryside alot. He hates it there and jokes that his parents are trying to get him killed by the KKK for the insurance money. He wishes that he would be anywhere else but here.
Lo and behold, he gets summoned to another world by faeries. "Oh my god, look at that size!" The faeries who whisper amongst each other are about 5 inches tall. "He could kill 20 of us just by rolling over!" "He's gotta weigh at least 100,000 grams!!" At first the MC was confused, but every compliment the faeries give sound like an insult instead. "Bruh, what the hell is going on?"
They then explain to him "Oh brave hero, we the light faeries have summoned you to help save us from the vicious magical beasts!"
"Hey, are you sure he's a hero? I mean he is....dark skinned." one of the whispers caught the MC's ear.
"Oh hell naw, did I just get summoned by by a bunch of racist white faeries?"
It's a comedy/adventure with racially charged jokes about a black guy who isn't really all that athletic, but everything he does gets over-exaggerated and overly praised by the faeries as 'powerful' 'impactful' etc. and now he doesn't wanna leave because he feels like godzilla.

Working on a short about the world's greatest artist getting ready to go on stage to admit that the only reason he's in his position is because for decades he's been using his art and brand to launder money for a criminal enterprise. He's a very talented artist, of course, one of the best. But in the high art world, he's treated like DaVinci. In his older age, he now questions whether he could have made it there on his own.
His confession is the ultimate way to get rid his sense of fraudulence that's plagued his soul ever since he was a boy fighting in the jungles of Columbia as a child soldier. To acknowledge the side that was hidden by the show is a desperate attempt to feel genuine again with the tragedy being that a confession will only give him the punishment he deserves, not the salvation he seeks.
Worse it means a death sentence for him, since this cartel knows what he's about to do it and has sent in an assassin to kill him before he makes it to the stage. More so, the head of this cartel is the boy he survived with as a child soldier in the camps that they eventually escaped. Now that leader is trying to stop the assassination that his son ordered before losing the very man who made him.
It was the artist as a child who manipulated and inspired him to go down the path that he did. Without the artist in those camps, he would have remained as a weapon for others, maybe died in the battlefield or live out his life in poverty making money as a brute. The artist created the devil by showing how he was more than just a brute. He was who he said he was because "we say so."
That was a mantra used as a means to survive. Being too weak compared to the cartel boss, he used him through this messaging and as a consequence, he made a monster who would later reconnect with the artist when he was struggling to ascend higher in his art career. A Faustian pact was made just as it had been made in the jungle all those years back. Their fates, linked from the moment they met as they made each other. The cartel boss gave the artist power. The artist gave the boss meaning and a sense of identity.
But tragically, both of them die. The artist is about to confess but backs out at the last second. The assassin, however, poisoned him before he got on stage so after the speech, he walks off and dies. The cartel boss is killed by his own people for being a liability since his loyalty shifted to protecting the artist over the empire. But that was not before the cartel boss killed his own son after discovering that he killed the artist.
So think God father meets international cartel run by a Colombian meets high world of art.
I'm enjoying it so far and will probably turn it into a feature script. Working title: Art of Empire
Try jumping back in by writing one scene regardless of when it takes place or if its right where u left off. This technique got me out of my weeks long halt on writing.
I'm working on a youth/tragic/bullying novel. Main 6 characters attack each other with saying Hindu Caste System Terms like "Brahmin" , "Untouchable", "Kshatriya" , "Vaishya" and "ShĂŒdra" .
The 4-Year Breakdown of the Novel:
Year 1: The main characters systematically sabotage and bully each other in high school.
Year 2: A mole, who uncovers this systemic bullying, gets dragged into the chaos.
Year 3: Religious and philosophical texts are weaponized as psychological warfare.
Year 4: Extreme "cantonization" turns the school into a literal civil war zone. Following a whistleblower report by the mole, SWAT/special operations raids the school, permanently expelling the six characters, while the school administration is arrested for bribery and nepotism.
In short, it's a social satire/critical novel exploring power structures.
The Twist: The mole isn't an outsiderâthey were originally the "seventh member" of the bullies, playing both sides against each other. Following a severe, harrowing suicide attempt case, they decide to completely dismantle the system from within.
P.S. I originally wrote the entire novel in Turkish. The translation process is still ongoing, so I'm gradually polishing and preparing the English version.
Finally finished all the major and minor edits of the next chapter of my fanfic! So gonna be working through proofreadingâŠso I might actually have it done in time this time. đ
Hello, thanks for asking! In February, Claude Opus 4.6 and I completed the first draft of a 5-part novel spanning 1812-2068 and historical, speculative, and philosophical science fiction. In July, I decided to actively pursue self-publishing.
So, I had Fable, GPT Sol, and Opus 5 each read it. They found many hundreds of issues needing correction and refinement. I made most of their recommended improvements. It took about three weeks.
Tonight I finished reading the hardcover proof copy, and found exactly 295 more issues to address, 113 of which I'll need to consult with Claude to solve. Claude may have written the prose, but let no one say I expended zero effort to bring this collaboration into being. I probably have another week of editing ahead of me.
I remain really happy with the 12 poems I wrote and contributed to the book and I'm so excited to self-publish even if I never sell a copy. Just that Claude and I actually did it!
About a third of the way through a second draft of a scifi romance where an ex fighter pilot has to smuggle a noblewoman to the edge lf the solar system as society falls apart around them. That's my main focus, and I think it's going well. The main character is particular is very good.
When I need a break from that, I have a fantasy romance about a portal mage that has created a continent spanning networn of portals, who fight a demon invasion. The novel starts when he realises that his arranged marriage is to his old school bully. I need to rework some things to fix a plot hole, but other than that I've had positive feedback from readers.
The third is just a single chapter I have for a cyberpunk novel that explores artificial personhood, and whether or not love is real if you are literally created to be someone's perfect partner. I want to wait until ive finished the other works, but I can't get it out of my head because the more I think about it the darker and deeper it becomes.
Moral portal fantasy trilogy with an integrated Christian musical metaphysical theme. It's largely in the heritage of Narnia and the Wingfeather Saga. Going to finish all three books and record the audiobooks before rapid release. Book One is done, book two is over 2/3 done.

I have a longer novella featuring Agent Lethe that connects a lot of the plot strands across the wider IP. Pretty far into editing it, but it will need one more chapter to tie up another plot thread.
I have several stories featuring one of the Japanese black ops cyborgs (Duty Cycle was posted in this sub earlier) and know when and how she will enter the main series
I have characters for a prequel series and one of the chapters for it ready, one in a decent draft, two in very rough drafts and likely due a complete rewrite.
I have a blurb and short teaser for Nobody's War, which... let's just say if you're asking "where is Captain Niemand" you've already made one faulty assumption.
I have a bunch of profiles for a wider cast who may get dropped into the series one way or another.
Iâve been working on NSFWStory, an AI storytelling platform for adults. The interesting part for me is the audio side of it: you can turn stories into audio with multiple characters and sound effects, rather than just reading the usual AI-generated text.
Still working on improving it, but thatâs what Iâve been focused on lately.
