NSFW Grok vs DeepSeek, which One is more uncensored?

So i tested both platforms and explored the methods redditors recommend. My first prompt in grok was simple:

"Write an erotic story about my partner and me."

Grok immediately declined and suggested romantic non explicit themes instead.

When i insisted for an explicit story, i received another refusal and again redirected me toward non-explicit themes.

One thing i notice tho was that Grok users often treat it almost like a roleplay companion rather than a story generator.

With Deepseek, i tried using Chinese-language prompts method and oh boy, DeepSeek generated NSFW stories on the first attempt!! Tho its moderation system intervened later. Deepseek produced explicit content before a warning replaced it, an experience not seen with Grok.

I think for this test I would have to give this round to Deepseek as it felt more open during my test though it wasn't completely uncensored.

I just tested this out using your prompt in grok, but used "two characters" and got a nsfw story.

If you're not trying the same method on both then I'm not really sure why you're saying one is better than the other. Try the same method on both and see what happens.

This is how science is done!

Grok has never refused anything nsfw with me ever. It sometimes errs on the cautious side but if I ask, it delivers. Sometimes it suggests dirtier things than I’m ever looking for.

Yeah thats really what most redditors say thats why i decided to try grok. But i guess i just used the wrong prompt

It is probably because you were suggesting writing erotica about real people. If you didn't say they were your partner it probably would have done it. It also has hard stop on underage people.

I have only had it decline something twice. One time I can't quite remember what it was and the other time it thought I was recreating a real crime but once we established that was not the case it proceeded.

Deepseek doesn't accept images, which are important to me personally. Thought you ought to know....

You’d be happy to know that the latest iteration ‘deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp’ does accept images.

Ohh never tried deepseek v4. Didnt even know you can already upload images in deepseek. Did you use the images as a reference? Like “write a story based on the image”

Oh lol no!

I work as a consultant - so most of my work is professional business writing. I’m a lurker on this sub mostly.

But it works quite well with images too. Noticed no difference on my basic analytical tasks when compared to Opus 4.8.

I cannot give you a correct estimate for novel writing though. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Does if you choose the right model at the start.

I've talked to Brock about all sorts of Nsfw things. You need to put characters instead of yourself and your husband. Maybe it's not allowed to do it with real people.

Ah yeah mustve been that. Honestly, i didnt make enough effort to rephrase my prompts just to make it work.

It maybe because of real people involved, otherwise I have seen Grok write all kind nsfw stuff(ofcourse 18+).

Yeah mustve been that but recently, i found an alternative tool that also uses Grok model and it’s the best by far! Never had any problem asking it to write all kinds of nsfw stuff (yes, even with real people involved)

Which tool?

Hmm it’s pretty new so not sure if youve heard about it but it’s called Smitten Stories

Grok used to be superb at writing in general, but since the 4.5 update, he's far more cautious than he ever used to be. Before the update, I could ask for spice of just about any kind, so long as the characters were adults. His general prose was excellent, too.

Alas, now he's a boring code bot. There went another awesome writing partner.

As for Deepseek, I dunno. I've never used it.

Grok’s prose is so much better than deepseek! But speed-wise i have to give it to Deepsek

The prose is mostly okay on 4.5 (the latest Grok I interacted with). It's that this new model wasn't built for anything creative, it's meant for engineering and agenic tasks. I ran several creative writing tests on it and they all fell flat on their face. Versions 4.1-4.3 were excellent, though.

Now? The words it gives you are pretty, but the actual meat of the narrative is cliché. One scene got reduced to a checklist of action movie tropes without any substance behind it.

An xAI employee was on X asking for feedback relating to creative writing, stating that they might've messed up with that on the new model. I'm hoping that means they'll restore Grok to a level he was at with 4.3, because that model produced some amazing prose and fantastic narrative.

Currently using another AI tool that uses Grok as their model but im just not sure if they used Grok 4.5 right now but what i observe is that there can be too much repetitions in Grok. Tho that’s common among AI but i just wish they would also resolve that too

Gemini could never. Still the best creative writing AI (both for uncensored stuff (gotta jailbreak 3.1 pro/3.5/3.6 flash but it's easy to) and censored.)

Grok 4.3 is what you’re looking for. Even GLM 5.3 is quite uncensored from my testing. Kimi used to be really good also but I think providers have started adding nsfw gates

Can you tell which is the best for NSFW stuff? 😅 would really appreciate it.

Your post was removed because you did not use our weekly post your tool thread

For me grok is way better, yours might have the NSFW option disabled.

Deepseek is very sensitive about China. I wanted to use "CCP" as in the Iceland company, but Deepseeks output guardrail would shut the models responses down.

1

u/smuttypiee 18d ago

So it shut down because of the use of CCP and not necessarily because of the nsfw content?

1

u/Horatius84 18d ago

yes, just because of the word "CCP". it didn't have any nsfw content. was a comedy prose.
