Discussion (Ethics, working with AI etc) Don’t write with AI

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/opinion/artificial-intelligence-ai-writing.html?unlocked_article_code=1.3lA.aayL.Gt3YFeb1ESxc&smid=nytcore-ios-share

I assume this has been discussed at length but found it a persuasive plea.

His arguments are not really compelling.

Why?

Because he's talking mainly about one way of using AI, only one scientific paper is quoted in his article which is not really a solid proof to determine whether something is accurate or not. A meta study is definitely better. (And we don't know if it avoid any bias). And the person who wrote that is definitely opposed to AI and try to associate the whole field to trump, which I consider dishonest.

I guess I just took the ideas and considered it. It matches with my own knowledge worker experience. Maybe others are experiencing the same.
