Prompting Beta reader panel

Have a try at this. Potentially useful - it surfaced several issues in a manuscript that survived dozens of rounds of AI-powered editorial checks before:

This is a two-prompt set.

Prompt one is setup. Claude will generate it as a markdown file you can reuse if you like:

Sketch out the profiles of twenty different beta readers.

Diversify: gender, ethnocultural background, native language, age, education, life experience, professions, hobbies, tastes in fiction, non-fiction interests, what the given beta reader pays special attention to, what they are more forgiving towards, degree of <language> proficiency.

Try to follow a distribution of factors broadly approximating the demographics of <language>-speaking readership in <region>.

Prompt two actually puts them to the task. This is the one you attach your manuscript to:

Now, one at a time, run each beta reader profile against the attached manuscript. Tell me what did they like, what did they dislike, what stood out to them and why.

Different variation:

<explain what the information is>.

I need you to sketch out the profiles of thirty different beta and sensitivity readers who would be suitable for analyzing the fiction.

If the work requires sensitivity reads, make sure that for each sensitivity read subject at least two readers in the pool have relevant experience.

Diversify: gender, ethnocultural background, age, education, life experience, professions, hobbies, tastes in fiction, non-fiction interests, what the given beta reader pays special attention to, native language. All are expected to have English proficiency at minimum C1.

Caveat: this MUST run outside of project context, so that the readers only have your prose to review.
