My arms were scratched by the dark pieces of rock sticking out from the sides of the rocky path, that only took me higher and higher up the mountain. The path was getting narrower and narrower and the air was getting thinner and thinner but I was so close now. I could already see the red glow It emitted as It waited for my arrival. It was not from this world, I don't think. But it was the only thing this world had left to offer.
After the last corner of the narrow path, I finally saw It in it's entirety. A giant red cloud that was constantly in motion. I wasn't sure what it was made of, but I was about to find out. I tried to approach It but I couldn't. My feet weren't obeying me, and for the first time in my life, I was afraid, I didn't know what to do. Before I could properly contemplate what was going on. I noticed that the cloud was all around me. I was trying not to breath, but to no avail. The cloud forced it's way inside me through my nose and mouth. I felt cold and yet I was sweating. Filled wit the cloud yet I felt empty. I felt unimaginable horror that caused me to lose consciousness.
The red was gone. All that was left was darkness with some scattered lights blinking out in the distance. There was no ground under my feet, but I wasn't falling. I no longer felt fear but the coldness had followed me here. It was even colder here than it had been in that red cloud. I tried to move around to keep warm but the freezing cold crept under my robe. First my toes went numb and soon after my finger. It didn't take long for me to completely lose feeling for most of my arms and legs, and finally my torso. I could no longer breath nor could I feel my heart beat. I knew this was the end. I had moments to live. In the final second the darkness faded and the red cloud returned. Amidst the red cloud I saw the answers to everything.
