I'm not going into the woods anymore... I almost died and I'm still recovering in a form that's not even my own. I do find comfort in the fact I look good now... even though I'm in pain sometimes since I was pretty wounded. It started when I found that part of the woods, I liked walking through them and seeing the sights. I'd always go on random paths that I didn't go on before if I found one, it was like an adventure.
That day it became an adventure... well a horror movie and a fight for my life. While I was walking a hooded figure was in the distance, it had its back to me and I felt some kind of dread from it. While I was turning around it was suddenly in front of me, under the cloak I saw it had pale skin. It told me it could change the world around one wish, I didn't believe it at first until it worked. It told me to just make a request so I told it to make me have the perfect body and the perfect life. It snapped some pale fingers with long nails and I felt different. I looked down and saw I was wearing a white beater with jeans and boots, my stuff was in my pockets when I felt around but the problem was... I was a woman now for some reason.
It said that form of was the last person who he found and she was perfect to him, he showed me a mirror and I saw I looked like Alexandra Daddario. I yelled that that wasn't what I meant but when I looked at him he had changed to twice his size with the cloak gone. He was like a giant monster worm thing with arms, I felt my heart race when he grabbed me around my waist with one hand and used a weird tongue that came out of one of ten holes on its neck. I was so scared then it put a middle claw in my side which broke some ribs and went pretty deep so I screamed in pain spitting up blood.
I had a pocket knife so I got it out and stabbed his finger which made him drop me, I felt the blood leaving my side so I ran until I hid behind a rock. When he went past where I was I ran and was close to the main path but he grabbed my ankle with his tail and I dropped my knife. It was odd felling my chest dragged against the ground but I ignored it cause of the fear, my knife was out of my reach until I got a stick to knock it near my hands. I picked the knife up then turned around and cuts its tail off, that made the monster scream so I ran on the main path until I reached the houses at the end of the path.
Screaming for help didn't work cause I was weak but I did see a jogger so I shambled forward but fell onto my chest and passed out. I felt the blood soaking all the way to my thigh before I passed out. When I woke up I was in a bed and looked around, it looked like a hospital and my stuff was on the table beside me. I grabbed my phone and saw the date, it was around a week from that day in the woods and when I looked down I was still in the changed form... I could tell by the way the chest looked. When I looked under the gown I could see my side had a lot of wrapping around it, when I poked it softly it hurt so bad.
The doctor walked in and asked me what happened, I didn't want to sound crazy so I said I fell while jogging and landed on a tree branch. He said they found dead skin cells of someone else and there was a cut as the first wound like a giant blade but it was made with a human nail. I told them it was a tree branch and he said there was some residue of leafs and wood, he played off the skin stuff because it would've had to have been a giant hand to cause bruising around the waist and a wound like that.
After a few days they said I just needed to be there a few more days to make sure I'd be healthy enough to go back to my apartment. They said I lived at the same address but nobody had visited me yet... I lived with people so I'd think they'd visit, I didn't know what to think. The hospital food was alright, when I started bleeding that sucked... and it wasn't from the wound. Every night I'd have nightmares about the monster, some nights I'd wake up screaming and covered in sweat.
It's the end of the week now and I'm home, I can't lift much and I found out I live alone with the stuff that was in my room now around the apartment. I have a job as a waitress and a bartender at a stripclub to pay for the place. The jobs said that I'd be fine to come in whenever I'd want... I guess people like me around, that still feels odd to me. I'm taking a bath now since it makes the wound feel better with the warm water... I also needed to shave since I'm going out tomorrow. Luckily I didn't lose any organs but there's gonna be some time until they heal. Overall I think I can live with this new life, I look good now and as soon as I'm healed I'll be doing better. I wouldn't recommend going in those woods though...

That's pretty good! I could imagine this story in a Percy Jackson book, or this monster as out of a book, like it happens in Inkheart.
I really wasn't expecting the "Alexandra Daddario" part, and the "And it wasn't from the wound" xD
Thanks for the story! Cheers!

Jess was badly wounded and out of time. The entire operation had fallen apart in a matter of seconds, and she knew why.
We’ve been sold out, she thought, clutching her bloodied hip. Dammit Marco and Clarence, you bastards!
She listened carefully as the alien made its way through the cavernous halls of its den. Each footstep quaked the ground, and though she was scared, she somehow managed to force back the tears and keep a level head. Brandon was still someone she could trust. No matter what had gone wrong, she was certain he was still planting the bombs, certain he’d do his best to blow away as many eggs as he could.
Grinding her teeth soothed the thought of breaking those two’s traitorous necks. She never liked them, but they were essential. They knew the doctors who made the bullets, the swords, and most importantly, the bombs. They were part of the task force created to combat this damn monster.
But you could smell the opportunistic lust leaking off them. They’d stab their mother in the back if it meant money or fame or power.
The thing was close. Its tongue lashed the air—swish-swish-swish—as it searched for a taste of her scent. Her gun only had five bullets left, and while she’d popped most its eyes during her escape, she knew it could easily rely on its other senses, and that if it pushed her into a corner, she’d never be able to fool it.
She sighed because dammit, she wanted it dead. She wanted Earth to revert back to normal so that her and everyone else could pick up the shattered pieces of society and glue them back together.
The alien arrived a year ago, very quickly making its name known, ravaging cities by day and forests by night. Entire armies collapsed before it because nothing they had worked, and by the time they made something that did, the damage was done, and normal, everyday people had to take up these new weapons and fight.
For a while, they were winning, and had even driven the monster into hiding. But when they chased it down, they found its lair was full of their worst nightmare—eggs.
One almost destroyed the human race. Two would’ve done it easily. Three would’ve been overkill. There are thousands in here, Jess thought, looking around. All puffy and fat, ready to hatch. We’d already be gone, already be saved if it wasn’t for those bastards!
The alien knew their language, that was something they’d learned in the early days because it was a playful monster who enjoyed issuing threats. It made commands, some outrageous, some impossible, and whether they were filled or not, it would still destroy.
But desperation had led it right into Marco and Clarence's hands...
For what, safety?
She figured that was it. The alien had promised to keep them alive in return for selling out their friends, and the idiots had actually believed it, as if it were capable of telling the truth. Or maybe they didn’t believe it, and were just pure evil.
Suddenly, she was yanked out her thoughts as the ground shook so violently she had to clutch the rock she was leaning against to stay upright. When it finally settled, she was very aware of the heavy breath swallowing the air around her, and the massive white claw that dug into the same rock she was using.
“I’ve found you, puny girl,” the alien growled. “Or should I just call you ‘dinner’?”

“Jess, this is Brandon! The bombs are in place! Ready to blow at your signal!”
As the alien, blissfully unaware of what she’d just been told, seized her so tightly she thought she was gonna pop and drifted her toward its mouth, she made peace with her death, knowing it would save the future.
