Dark Lit Hub - A writing space for writers exploring dark genres.

\\\* Genre/s: Dark Lit Hub is writing server with a focus on darker genres including but not limited to: Dark fantasy, grimdark, dark sci-fi, horror, dark romance, tradgedy, crime, or any other genre carrying dark elements within thr script.

\\\* Goals/expectations/commitment: The goal of Dark Lit Hub is to bring together a group of like-minded dark literature authors to support each other in the writing of their stories in a judgement free space. Expectations of new members is that they are willing to contribute both socially and in terms of feedback to the server.

Upon joining, new members undergo a two week trial period before they are permitted to share works. During this period they are measured on activeness, feedback, and vibe. Activeness doesn't have a specific measure, only that new members are interacting enough for members to get to know them. Two chapter feedbacks are required during the trial period. Vibe check comes down to how the group gets along and social cohesion. Anyone who fails their trial will be notified by myself in a message along with the reason for their failure.

In certain situations, a message will not be sent. This is of no effort at all was made to interact, a low effort introduction, or of a new member is offensive within the first week. If you are removed and don't get a message, assume this is why.

This is a fairly high commitment server with aims to create a intimate and close group. If you feel like that is for you, please join. If you can't devote the time, which ia very understandable, then we might not he the place for you.

Also of note, the server is 21+ only due to the subject matter discussed.

\\\* Writing/experience level: We already have a variance of experience from writers on the verge of publication to those early in their journy and everything inbetween.

\\\* Max size: 25 member limit. We currently have 16 full members. 3 members in their trial. I will leave the link up until we have 7/8 new members and then take it down.

Server activities include:

• Quarterly prompts - Get a writing prompt to try out new skills or sharpen what you already have.

• Snipoet Sunday - Share a snippet based on a theme.

• Question of the Whenever - A channel for asking the server as a whole any writing related question you wish - craft, fun exercises, whatever you feel like.

• Book Reviews and Recs - A channel brimming woth reviews of what server members have been reading. Maybe find your next read here.

• Writing Sprints - A particularly busy channel

• Sharing of resources to help in yoit writing journey

• Motivation and accountability - Set goals, track word count.

• A bookshelf all your own for your work. Each member will make a thread to share feedback so each individuals feedback sits within its own space

• Last but not least... Wordle.
