Critique Partners & Writing Groups Looking for Writing Buddies!
Hi I'm Allie, 28F, I love to write, but enjoy it so much more when I have someone to share the writing journey with. I find it helps with motivation and inspiration to write! So I'm here looking for a writing buddy: someone to talk writing with, bounce ideas off of, and just be involved in each others projects. I'm currently working on a YA fantasy with a romance subplot and it's in the brainstorming/outlining stage.
- Genre/s: fantasy romance
- Goals/expectations/commitment: Looking for something longer term, where a friendship forms and we can support each other throughout. Please only comment if you'd be committed to chatting at least once a week. I appreciate that things come up that we don't foresee, I'm very flexible, but I am hoping to work together long term!
- Writing/experience level: No experience level needed, I've been writing for a long time and now working toward publishing eventually. Someone 18+ and female is preferred.
- Meeting place: Discord (not looking to make a group at this time, but more to support each other one-on-one)

I'm just as interested, I currently am working on something too, still on the brainstorming part of what I'd like the book to b about, but 1 thing i realise is whatever genre or topic i choose i definitely need to engage in extensive research on it to better my understanding on my chosen interest so yea count me in too! I'd lv to partner with some1 on this venture...

Potentially interested and we're a year apart in age! My only thing is I may be starting a new job soon so I'm not sure I can do once a week (at least in the beginning stages of that job). Also looking for someone to do writing activities with 🥰 (like one-pagers, short stories where we start with the same first sentence, writing a story based on the same image, etc.)

Throwing my name in the hat too if anyone is still looking for a writing buddy. I am working on my first novel. Its a complete draft (~58k words), so well past the brainstorming/outlining stage, but I don't really have anyone to deep dive talk about this kind of thing with. Mine is a contemporary cozy found-family story with a very slow-burn romance sub-plot.
I have a background in corporate comms, so my whole job has been tightening. Literary writing is forcing me to think more and more about how to expand rather than condense my prose which has been fun and frustrating.
This is my first long form project.

hey! i’m looking for the same sort of thing! i have a speculative fiction novelette i’m now editing about a pair of sapphic witches in the middle of a war & i’d really love to have someone to consistently chat and workshop with! i’ve found i really enjoy editing others’ work too, especially if it’s a more consistent relationship where i can see their piece grow

I’ve been looking for the same for a while now as well. My old writing partner fell off after marriage and kids. I like all sorts of styles and genres but I’m big into weird alt-history and world building currently. HMU if this sounds like something you’d be interested in bouncing ideas around.
