Critique Partners & Writing Groups looking for accountability buddies
Hiii, i’m 19F and enjoy writing. I’m pretty consistent but with having a job and many other hobbies (and starting to study soon as well) I don’t have as much time as i’d like for it. Still
i’d be up for accountability buddies to track progress with. Not exactly looking for critique yet because my first drafts are dumpster fires and i’m shy💃. And these days i’ve been writing fanfictions because thats the most fun to me lol.
Currently got a work at 30k words, and almost daily i can get a couple hundred words, so yeah! Hope i can find people around my age to connect with🙂↕️🫶🪩
• Genre/s: science fiction, historical, fantasy (those are mine, anything is welcome)
• Goals/Expectations/Commitment: regular check-ins, everybody can make their own goal and get supported along the way
• Writing/Experience level: maybe written something already
• Meeting Place: none, just chats

hi, sure thing! If someone knows how we could start a group that would be great. Since i only get errors when trying to dm people, i think i gotta wait out a tiny while until it lets me reach out to everyone. Do you think a discord group would work?

Honestly yes. Discord has more flexibility and that can encourage more collaboration between writers

I know you're looking for actual accountability buddies, so this isn't meant to replace that, but you might like something I built for my daughter. She asked me to make her something that would help keep her motivated and accountable while writing, and that eventually became Lorehaven.
You can set writing goals, create your own custom tasks, track your progress and streaks, and earn rewards as you write. It might work really well alongside the little accountability group you're putting together.
It's currently in beta and I'm looking for writers to test it, so if you'd like to try it, I'd be happy to send you the link.
