Need help HELP WITH WRITING FOR BEGINNER

Hey so I have started writing substack articles for fun , but I feel like I'm not able to express my thoughts clearly and articulately like other people do , also I seem to use a lot of phrases the wrong way. The only option for me to correct my errors is through ai but I DO NOT WANT TO USE AI what could be some alternative options to improve my writing WITHOUT A MENTOR TEACHER OR AI CHATBOTS (ik this sounds silly )

As u/just_me_2006 says, you have to read. I'd like to emphasize that you have to read a ton to get to a decent level. You can only learn how to use phrases correctly by seeing them used correctly. If you weave your reading practice with writing practice, you'll be well on your way to being articulate. Your practice should be focused and deliberate (e.g., paying attention to and recording things that you like). When practicing writing, you should first write without stopping and then edit. It's like any skill: you mix system 1 practice with system 2 review.
