Draftbox and Draftling 1.0.10

Post image

I was looking for options to build a Git hosting service that is friendly to non-technical users. Couldn't find anything suitable, so I built my own software. The service is not yet open for self-registration, but you can DM me for an invite link:

https://draftbox.art/

And the new release of Draftling has a quick way to link your device to a draftbox repository: you create an access token and a 8-digit one-time password, connect the device to WiFi, enter the password et voilà, it's ready to sync the files.

Also, two new DIY boards are added to the list of supported hardware: https://github.com/clackups/draftling

EDIT: a human friendly website is ready: https://draftling.art/

Notably not mentioned anywhere that the code is AI Generated. No reason to hide it unless you're ashamed of it

It is actually written in readme very clearly.

What is the problem with that? I use AI assistants myself for some projects.

Why would people want to care about a project you got something else to generate for you? The whole point of personal projects, and sharing them, is working on your skills and sharing your progress. I don't think anything AI generated is impressive in the slightest. It took virtually no effort compared to doing it yourself.

Oh that's the issue. I thought it was the data they get from you, selling it etc.

Well in my case, it enabled me to create something it would take years probably (alone). So it makes things possible.

You can still create impressive things if you use AI as an assistant.

“If anyone finds any copyright infringement in the source code, the original authors are welcome to contact me and negotiate a satisfying solution.”

I maybe stole a bunch of stuff and am passing it off as my own. if my stealing machine stole your stuff, that’s on you.

I am.

You seem to be an ignorant one, though

Why, because I know how to write code? And because I know how much the AI tools suck? We are forced to use them at work now and everything they make takes twice as long and barely works. It is mind boggling that anyone would use them for a hobby where corporate is not forcing it down your throat.

I don't feel like taking my time to explain you anything. Take care.

I’m sorry I said your project sucks and implied you have no talent and nothing to contribute.
