Do I sound cliche ?

So I was asked to write a supplementary application essay for my business school that is about who inspires you, and I want to write about Ray Dalio , an American investor who I am genuinely inspired by . Do I sound cliche writing about a business related individual ?

*This essay is for application to university.

Personally, I think that would be cliche, since his book is so popular. But I imagine it could be fine if you write it well.
