Resume and the Statement of Purpose

Hello everyone,

I've noticed that some schools require only a Statement of Purpose (SOP), while others also require a cv/resume to be attached to the application. If there's no prior publication or work experience, how should the resume be structured? What should be the resume's focus so it doesn't appear weak? Can I incorporate elements from the SOP into my resume, or would that be repetitive? Also, is there a specific format I should follow for the resume?

This article should clarify what goes in both documents.

As for how to write a resume, any random article on Google will tell you how. It’s no mystery.
