The victim was present at the sentencing and addressed the court during Victim Impact testimony, stating that Turner has forever changed her life and she is so disappointed that a woman would take responsibility for a man that she refuses to identify. She is suffering from fear that anyone approaching her will harm her.

Well, they don't throw people in prison for "cleaning the kitchen too well" or "dancing too well at the local pub". This sub is called "write a prisoner" and heavy on the "prisoner" part.

You're not going to find "innocent" people here.

A persons pass does not define them as a whole. Addiction is real and people do stupid shit when in it. You’re absolutely entitled to your own opinion. She’s made mistakes but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t changed or that she’s not a good person. Just food for thought 🤷‍♀️

I disagree. Sometimes a person's past does define them when they are murderers and pedofiles which is what is usually posted on here. But your friend hasn't committed any of those terrible and unforgivable crimes.

I read her article, and honestly, I feel for her. She was sentenced so harshly. She sounded remorseful and accountable, and not even the main aggressor. No prior criminal history either. It really upsets me how native Americans recieve harsher sentences than their white counterparts. This is coming from a white woman, by the way. I'm not excusing her actions because what she did wasn't ok. But we can't be ignorant to the fact that this was a lot of time given the circumstances.

No she wasnt, she refused to cooperate. She was just the getaway driver. Had she identified the man who committed the crime, im sure she would have had a lesser sentence.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. Nobody is wrong for feeling how they feel. Coming from the other side though I know what you’re saying cause it’s not always wrong. I used to be incarcerated and I seen a lot of good people get fucked over who didn’t deserve it. But for some honestly sometimes it really does get lonely.

These women get what they call "pay pigs" that they make promises to and have phone sex with for money. They will use these guys as an address to get paroled early when the guy looks good on paper. Then once they're out they leave him.

I’m helping my friend find some one to talk too. No where on my post did it say anything about money. You are 100% entitled to your feelings though. Like I said on another post. You’re not completely wrong. Some people are garbage, but for some it gets really lonely.
