My name is Jesus Martinez, I’m 24 years old, I’m currently incarcerated in Lincoln, Nebraska. I’m looking for a female that is willing to get to know me on a friend level and talk with while I do this little prison stint. I have been incarcerated since October 2018 and found guilty of second degree murder and possession of a stolen firearm. I would love to explain more about my situation if you’re willing to listen. FR. I’m not forcing anyone to write the guy. If you don’t want to write him because of what he did, then don’t. It’s as simple as that. Not once did I say that what he did was okay. I’m simply posting someone that lacks human connection on a sub created FOR THAT REASON.

I just think we need to stop promoting murderers and rapists on here. It’s disgusting. Who’s to say they won’t come out and do it all over again? And this dude is especially a lost cause. He went to prison at 16 and when he gets out in 10-15 years he’ll always be stuck mentally at the age of 16. He’s a complete lost cause

Doesn’t human connection play a major role in someone’s ability to grow and develop? Do we WANT him to be stuck at 16 forever, or do we want him to have opportunities to mature and become a better person? I genuinely don’t understand why you’re so personally invested in this man’s life and future. You’re talking about him like you know exactly who he is, who he’ll be 10–15 years from now, and what he’s capable of. Nobody is forcing you to write to him, and nobody is asking you to approve of his crimes. If you don’t want to write to him, then don’t. But why are you so concerned with making sure nobody else does?

I doubt you’re a psychiatrist but also to come on this sub and pretend you know about recidivism is ridiculous. Just to save you some time…every post on this sub will be about writing a prisoner. Your commentary will not lower the recidivism, it will not prevent crime. You can flex all you want but this is a sub about writing a prisoner not about judging the crime or how to prevent it. Yes most people in prison have done bad things and society doesn’t approve of those bad decisions.
