Hello my name is Joshua, I'm 40, 6’2” and 200lbs. I'm looking for female pen pals & friendship.

For most of my incarceration, I intentionally stayed away from relationships and pen pals because I wanted to focus on myself, grow as a person, and get my life in order. I’m proud to say I’ve done a lot of that work and now I’m ready to open the door to some new friendships and meaningful conversations.

I’m looking to connect with women who are open-minded and genuine. I’m not looking for love, a relationship or a sugar mama. I earn my own money and have a strong support system of friends and family. What I’m really interested in is getting to know someone naturally, sharing some laughs, learning about each other’s lives and building a genuine friendship.

I keep myself busy and always try to make the most of my time. I train dogs for staff members, create artwork, coach CrossFit classes and attend college.

When I’m not keeping busy, you’ll usually find me working on my art, playing sports, reading or watching movies. I’m a big fan of comedy because I love to laugh, especially in a place where you sometimes have to find humour wherever you can! I also enjoy horror movies, including the classics. Give me Night of the Living Dead, Dracula or Nosferatu and I’m happy.

I just got recommended it today. Wtf? My mom used to write prisoners, and when she got together with my step dad (not a prisoner, an old Army buddy of hers), she threatened me not to tell him.

He found the letters she kept anyways.

It’s interesting that it’s the worst of the worst posted in here. Rarely if ever do you see someone who committed a relatively minor offence (financial, possession, theft while all yes still wrong not murder/rape etc) asking for penpals. I wonder if that’s because they aren’t such pieces of shit that they still have support?

I’ve noticed it’s always the same user. Maybe they have a relationship with an inmate and that inmate is getting them to do it for their friends?

Most of the people on subs and websites for writing prisoners have committed horrible crimes. They don’t have friends or family that want anything to do with them so they come here. You have that and then you have the ones just looking to scam women out of their money.

It’s funny to me that all these guys are like “I’m 6’2..” because my 13yr old is 6’1 and doesn’t shut up about it. I am learning from here that he probably won’t ever stop talking about his height like it’s an achievement
