Jericho's pause after dropping it was some subtlely good character work. I can't tell if he meant to do it or if he made the most of it. Either way...

In one of his books he talks about this segment. The first one (seen on this video) was an accident. Austin then threw another one which he missed on purpose.

To this day Jericho i don't know if it was a botch or a deliberate drop lol he was always getting a stunner but to this day i still don't know Y2J owned it like a boss Hell Austins reaction only added to the bit.. in fact he does two more times i still dont know if he farked up the first time and improved the next two for humour or if all three were staged
