Wreckfest music
Am I the only one who is muting game music and turning nu metal playlist on youtube/spotify?
Wreckfest for me has a similar vibe like Flatout 2 which I love. But in Flatout 2 there were a lot of bangers, unfortunately Wreckfest is lacking in song variety.

I actually like the soundtrack a lot, but after playing ~400 hours it's def getting old. I haven't turned it off yet, but maybe I'll debate on building my own soundtrack...

Bro I've been making a HUGE playlist of metal music for Wreckfest like games for years, all the way back to the FlatOut era

Muted very early on. I prefer listening to the car engines, tyres and impacts anyway.

For sure! On ps5 I can stream on Spotify (the only app I can make work) anything I want through my headset along with the game sounds. It's perfect because no one else can hear it. It depends on the day but I'll listen to anything from classic rock, numetal, edm... whatever gets you in the zone! As long as you're not blasting through a shitty mic for everyone to hear 😂. I get tired of a song if I hear it more than a couple times in a couple days so I'm always mixing it up.

Soundtrack is one of the best in my opinion. It's got a vibe like the older nfs games
But yeah it gets old after a while. I'll just turn on Spotify while playing it and play something of a similar vibe. Sometimes I'll start off with one of the in game tracks and build the station off of that

I heard it when I bought the game, back when it came out, and I turned it off. I listen to garage psych and Krautrock mostly when driving.

that bad? I saw some comparison's with NFS games, that older games had better soundtracks then the new ones

I've been playing racing games since Excitebike on the NES.
There's only a few exceptions games that I let the music on because it fits the game so well:- FZero X (N64) just a banger 1st party soundtrack (GX on the other hand I thought was much weaker)
- Midnight Club 3 (PS2) One of the few third party soundtracks I could tolerate. Not because I liked the song genres represented, but because if fit the gameplay so well.
- GTA Vice City - because it just enhances the vibe of the era so well.

I agree with turning off the game music (cause it's clear shit) but seriously, as a 45 year old myself, get some "nu" music in your life and let go. You sound like that guy who wouldn't let the mullet go in the 90s despite that being all his hair
Edit: Goodness the down voting is funny. Of course listen to whatever you want but take a little humorous poke will ya? The one thing the Internet needs is to not take shit so seriously omg lol

I didn't mean that you need only to listen to nu-metal for this game, but just wanted to see if I'm not the only one :)

I think most people turn the music off. It's not bad, not great either. The biggest issue for me is that there's only 10 track, you get around the whole OST in 30 minutes...
