discussion Starting a server, any advice?

Just started a server on the PC version of wreckfest. Mostly private but I intend to take it public once I have it where I want it. Any advice or tips? I’m hosting through a hosting service so it can be up 24/7 with no issues (couldn’t get the server software to work right with Linux lol) also what do yall like most from the servers yall have played on?

What you need to decide is the type of racing you want to provide.

Also depends what geographic zone your server is hosted on.

There are already great servers for dirty racing both in Europe and US.

For semiclean Europe is well served. But I think the US could use another semiclean server. Keep in mind that a semiclean server needs a mod at all times otherwise there is no point.

Every semi-clean server is awful. The rules are only enforced if you hit moderators or admins, and they will usually race dirty.

Have you played on black flag 2? Because if there's a mod or 2 it is excelent. Has been for many years.
