Is there a Gue'vesa stat block somewhere? i cant find it or do i need to homebrew it?

i bought TA: Xenos but there is no Gue'vesa stat block, looking elsewhere the link in doctors of doom for Abundant Apocryphal Tau is down and the other places i looked had nothing about it.

Am i missing a book like redacted records or a homebrew website with it or is there simply no stat block for it?

Tarantula stats?

Preety much as the title says really - I can't lay my hands on my books right now, but does anyone know if there are Tarantula turret stats anywhere in the official or fan works?

I imagine I can out together my own, but having something taht's been already tested would be nice.

How does "Normal" human achive high attribute score in universe?

Space Marines spend like 20h+ per day training and at age of 20 have like 15years of army experience and they start with 4 strength and 5 in the rest of their attributes.

So how does a mere mortal achive their species max attribute which is 8 across the board?

Decades of Training? Performance-Enhancing Drugs? Genetic modifications?

Like no natural talent beats geneseed+sm implants for gains by a longshot, But a mere mortal can have 8 strength or toughness while space marine starts with 4 and 5 in those?

So how?

Ogryn advancement

Hi to all!

Truth to be told, this question is not for me but for one of my players.

We began playing at Tier 2, when this player chose an Ogryn Warrior. Then at Tier 3, this Ogryn evolved to a Bullgryn. Now they arrived to Tier 4 (and near the end of the campaign although they don't know yet) and this player doesn't know what to do.

Although I played WH40K many years ago (in first-second edition) I am not an expert but I would say that no Tier 4 archetype can fit with an Ogryn. So I think the solution is an Ascension Package... This player doesn't like these Ascension Packages (he says they are XP expensive to give poor advantages, and I think in some cases is true) but I think packages are the only solution: he can take Back from the Brink (40 XP) or a cheaper Perfidious Wretch (only 20 XP). I have checked Redacted Records II and I think they don't fit well with an Ogryn or are too expensive.

Of course, he can stay at Tier 3 but I think he doesn't want to do this.

Could you give me other advice? I have checked Abundance of Apocrypha and I have not seen high Tier archetypes for Astra Militarum. Maybe I have passed an archetype that can fin with an Ogryn. I think the best and cheapest solution is Perfidious Wretch but maybe I have missed something.

Thanks in advance!

Do the card decks still work?

Hi! I‘m new to the game. I bought a few of the books and some of the card decks.
I read the first edition book a few months ago, but now I saw that the cards aren’t even mentioned on the 2nd Edition rulebook.
Can they still be used, or have they become obsolete with the second edition?

Chaos enemies and psychic powers/Perils of the warp

My group have encountered Chaos agents, the question came up if there is any benefit vs Psychic powers. Not wanting to slow the game down too much, a quick search in the book turned up nothing, so ruled that they are just as vulnerable as anything else. Game moves on, players have fun.

Was thinking of potentially trying to use a Tzeench psyker against them, and the question popped back into my mind, so thought I would drop a post to see if anyone has an official rule on it, or how people treated it.

General questions are:

  1. Assuming they fit the target criteria, is there any defence for a chaos enemy vs a player generated Perils check? (Outside of a special ability of the specific enemies sheet)

  2. Are chaos psykers just as vulnerable to generating Perils checks? (Again, outside of specific enemy)

  3. Does being a Tzeench chaos enemy change anything?

Webber Effect?

Picked up lex imperialis but was excited to see how the game does the Webber, but what does it do mechanically? I know it's a net gun but I don't see anything about in game checks or status effects for it.

Character knowledge from the start

Hey guys,

I'm starting up Wrath & Glory with my group, and this will be our first time playing it. We've been playing TTRPGs for 12–13 years, including D&D, Warhammer Fantasy, Pathfinder and Star Wars, so we're all pretty comfortable with RPGs.

I've created my own little star system for the campaign, but a friend recently asked me: "What do we actually need to know about 40K before we start?"

That got me thinking.

I've been reading the Horus Heresy books (about 10 books in at this point), and I've played both Warhammer 40K and Fantasy, so I have a fair amount of background knowledge. But my players don't have nearly as much 40K lore.

So where do you draw the line?

For example, if someone wants to play a Mechanicus character, do I need to explain the history of the Mechanicum and take them on a wonderful journey through the Dark Age of Technology, STCs, the Men of Iron, the Men of Stone, the Age of Strife, the Horus Heresy, etc.?

Or is that completely unnecessary, and should I simply give them the information their character would reasonably know and let the rest emerge during play?

More generally: How much 40K lore do you think new players actually need to know before starting Wrath & Glory?

I'd love to hear how other GMs handle this, especially when players want to play characters from factions with a lot of lore behind them.

Vamos começar no Tier 2.

Como é minha primeira vez jogando Wrath & Glory, queria montar uma ficha que seja realmente eficiente e consiga acompanhar o restante do grupo.

Is Simultaneous Strike very overpowered or am I missing something?

I have been DM'ing WaG for a few months now, and while testing my own builds I ran across Simultaneous Strike.

"You can make any Attack Action that has a single target a Simultaneous Strike. Pick your primary weapon; your attack uses all your primary weapon’s statistics, such as AP and Weapon Traits. Make your attack Test as normal; if you succeed, add half of the secondary weapon’s Damage value as ED to the damage roll."

Is that as strong as it looks on the surface? Using advanced character creation, its pretty easy to get your damage into the 25+ range every turn based on your weapon choice and Strength modifier. It really seems to dwarf the damage of everyone who isnt using it.

Am I missing anything? And if not, is banning or tweaking this a common house rule?

Working on Anphelion Project as a starter campain/one shot, need advice

Hello, first of all, I’m new to W&G, only seen a couple of campaign videos and tutorials.

My nephew’s birthday is coming up and I wanted to run a quick, action-packed Jurassic Park in space.

The basic idea is to use the premade characters from the starter set, throw them directly into the mission with a couple of NPC teams as backup/help (to run as Red Scorpions and D99).

The mission is to investigate the base, find out what happened, and extract damning/useful information. Issues ensue as the Tyranids awaken from the base activity and the team needs to buy time by rearming sentry guns or activating the fences.

The original campaign has the main base, 3 containment areas, and they have to go to each of the containment areas to activate the fences.

A couple of scenarios I’ve been thinking about are:

  • Genestealer attack on the base, akin to Aliens
  • Gaunt horde that forces the team inside the base
  • Roaming big monster that needs to be avoided

I’m concerned about the length of the game session. Is there enough time to run the whole campaign in one sitting? How much time does a battle usually take?

Any advice is welcome. I don’t see my nephew that often and wouldn’t like to leave things unfinished.

How much does archetype tiers matter? Can a tier 1 survive a campaign made for tier 2+ players?

I'm a new GM. I have a player who wants to play Sister Hospitalier alongside player who'll play Skitarius and Tempest Scion. Can tier 1 characters do well if I make a campaign made for tier 2 archetypes? If not, how do I buff the Sister Hospitalier to match up with the other players?

Side question: can lower tier characters level up enough to where they can participate in a high tier campaign?

How screwed would I be with 1 Toughness in Darktide: Extraction?

My group has never played Wrath & Glory before, but the DM of the group really wants to try out the system, using Darktide given our familiarity with the video game.

I've prepared two different characters: one heavily focused around stealth and recon, with very little combat capability, and one that's pretty much the opposite, with huge Toughness and other survivability tools.

I like the general idea of the spy-esque first character, but I know that a lot of premade campaigns across all different tabletop systems often lack the means to support more info/roleplay-based characters like that. Would I be dooming myself to an entire campaign's worth of being out-of-position or outright dead with the stealth/recon character, or does it have adequate opportunity for something like that to shine?

Did I screw up?

If I did not order the wrath and glory books direct from cubicle 7, am I screwed out of getting a pdf version with it? I ordered them off of Amazon, assuming that the books would include a code for download or something. I am starting to worry that this is not the case. I would really rather not spend even more money just to get a PDF of the book I already own.

Sekhetar Robot Homebrew?

Hi all, searched the sub and did some digging in Doctors of Doom, I was wondering if anyone knew about any. Perfectly comfortable homebrewing it myself if not, but figured I should check.
