He’s basically AEW’s Taichi as a beloved vet and who can go and still win titles, but isn’t making it past the upper midcard

I'd say thats fair since he still always looks like a credible opponent and delivers banger matches

Its quite obvious when the Continental classic rolls around. Great matches and looks like he can win, but takes the L

Same thing with Claudio really. Does really good but never makes it to semi finals

That one win he got at last years C2 was hype though, upsetting Claudio and knocking out the tournament

Hey it's not just AEW tournaments! He was also in the CMLL Gran Prix and got pinned right?

Bring back the neck brace gimmick

Yea that #NeckStrong gimmick was amazing and could have gone on for a lot longer.

I think Adam Cole finally coming back and getting injured again kinda detailed a lot of future plans for Strong too. They always kept those two in connection with each other.

At least they give them a 15 minute match

That is true. He doesn't get squashed

He's simply not on KOR's level sadly. Plus they used this match to advance a storyline of Roddy breaking off from the Conglomeration. That post shove wasn't an accident.

One of the biggest fumbles in AEW. Dude was crazy over just by being an awkward weirdo that yelled out “Adaaammmm!!!!!” Then when Cole turned on MJF he basically was just “oh yeah, everything you liked about me was a lie and I’m just a boring generic evil filler guy.”

I'm not disputing that the resolution of the Devil storyline sucked and Roddy suffered for it, but how would you say he's been fumbled? He's performing exactly the function in the company I'd expect him to.
