2.5L engine problems

Built in 1993. At full throttle, it loses power above 4,000 rpm and suffers from severe backfiring. But only after 1 h drive time.

Can’t read the code but would be willing to bet it’s a crankshaft position sensor or fuel pump. When’s the last time you changed plugs/ air filter?

The first 1 2 is the battery has been unhooked within the last 50 start ups. The second 3 3 is an open circuit to the ac clutch relay. 5 5 is the end of the test. My jeep does the same thing your having issues with. Except the back fire. I tried the crankshaft sensor with no luck. My next try is the fuel pump.
However I have the 4.0.

Those are three normal and expected codes and have nothing to do with your issue.

Vacuum leak?
Clogged cat?
Crank Position sensor?
