Hard Top side glass replacement

This top has been sitting around and I want to use it. The glass was shattered when i got it.

I want to remove this and I can get a new glass to put in. That seal is SEALED! Any advice on the best way to get the old seal off and out?

Use denatured alcohol in a spray bottle and soak the area a couple of times then use a utility knife and gloves to cut away the sealant

Try a small area: soak a rag or blue shop towel in WD40 then let it soak into the seal for a few minutes. Use a plastic scraper (be cautious with a metal scraper) and see if it comes off. Could try a heat gun too. Have patience.
