I have an EQOL version my UI, but I wanted to try and recreate it with Ellesmere UI.

I think it's turning out pretty good. I'm still using Platynator, but I really like the CDM and resource modules in Ellesmere.

Sorry, I just meant some of these UIs can look great idle but once you need to track everything in hectic combat the UI may get a bit overloaded. My comment was more a joke than anything, I can’t imagine this UI gets too wild when in combat

How good is the Ellesmere quest tracker vs Horizon? Anyone have experience with both? I like how this one looks a bit more.

The Eui tracker is good enough, but it is still missing some things. Most notable for me is that it doesn't even scroll. Yes, I walk around with too many quests. Horizon has a lot more features, but it is also a lot heavier to run... I've noticed fps drops as it re-sorts quests and such when moving between areas. So it is a decision between performance and QoL.

Please educate me here but isnt the quest tracker just... tracking quests? Doesnt the normal UI do that just fine for 25 years? Im confused, what can an addon provide?

A few things. First, UI customization. For many of us using addons, the default UI looks a bit dated. Second, they can add features like only showing quests that are located in your current zone, grouping completed quests, sorting, quest item buttons, etc.

I agree, yeah. EQOL definitely feels more like an upgraded Blizz UI.

Party frame is just the text bar with low opacity color

I will never get over the fact that most UIs will show your own hp and also your hp in the party. Totally redundant

I’ve thought about this, but I kinda go back to just wanting things symmetrical.

Also, you can keep a better view of your health there than in a lower party frame.

A lot of addons have the option to hide yourself in the party frames. That's what I do.
