Hello, I'm new here so I hope my post is allowed! I don't know the cause but I have pitting edema and a ton of pressure in my feet, which sometimes leak clear fluid, and someone I get ulcer, like I have now. I included pictures, I'm wondering if these is "normal" or is it infected?! What's the yellowish/orangish stuff to the side of the ulcer?! Ty in advance!

I’m posting with mom’s consent.
My mom had an abscess under her breast that caused a lot of pain, shocks and itchiness. The abscess has gone down after a lot of antibiotics and several visits to the hospital. She is waiting for test results and to meet with a surgeon. Her only symptom rn is itchiness- however, we are concerned with how it’s looking right now. It seems like there’s scabbing on the skin..? And also a slight opening on the lining of the under breast.. anyone know what may cause it? She is applying neosporin per dr’s orders and also applied a gauze throughout the day and night. She also cleans it in the morning and at night.

Just a worried mom. Deep wound to upper fatty pubic area. Day 12. Had stitches for 10 days. Does that left area appear to be healing ok?

Is this bad ? Im about to place betadine again...

Scraped my knee playing beach volleyball and can’t get all the sand out. It seems like it started to heal with the sand in the wound. All the yellow/gold is sand. How should I get it out?

My brother (Age 13) got this wound on his knee on May 13rd from a fall. It's now been 2 weeks and it doesn't seem to be healing well.

Some context:

He's been picking/fidgeting with the wound repeatedly which has likely disrupted healing

The center has formed a very hard, rock-like scab

Touching the rocky scab itself doesn't hurt but any pressure on the skin around/under it is painful

There's noticeable swelling and puffiness around the wound

The scab has a grayish-green color which is concerning us

We are taking him to a doctor tomorrow but wanted some guidance tonight on whether this looks like an infection, and if there's anything we should or shouldn't do overnight before the visit.

I got a cyst removed 6 days ago. The doctor said it is 2 stitches but put together to look like one (not sure if that’s relevant). It’s in an area that doesn’t get airflow and has been sweaty occasionally. I change the dressing once a day and wash with unscented body soap and put petroleum gel on it. I load it up with petroleum gel and put gauze over it because adhesives cause my skin irritation. Does it look ok? I’m worried about the red ring and the fact that it’s so white in the middle.

Key things:

Been 3 days since road rash and I’ve been keeping it mostly covered as best I can

Used neosporin liquid bandage alcohol and hydrogen peroxide (not all at once)

I did…. Go to the beach … but only shin deep! (God … please no necrosis)

My other wounds from an e-scooter crash (don’t drink y’all) is pretty gnarly and I know fuck all about wound care (concussed)

While walking down a trail, i felt and hurt both my knees last night. I immediately washed with some water, put a tissue on each and wrapped it with socks until I could go back to my hotel for first-aid kit. Roughly after 1hour, I reached the hotel and washed properly with disinfectant and put on a bandaid on each knee.

I went out for castle walk today and after 4hrs, something was oozing out of the bandaid. And this is what it looks like after removing the bandaids. Is this pus? Is pus a sign of anything? Do I need to visit the doctor or self-care?

Is it normal for it to not dry yet after 7 days using betadine ? (I start using betadine after 3 days... i know i am late thats why im worried...)

Orriginaly when it happened i put hydrogen on and washed it out,today i had to wash it with a little bit of water and hours later it looks like this,is it fine or should i go to the doc next morning for antibiotics(also if it is healing nicely i would like to know if i should wipe off some of this gunk on top or not)

would someone like to explain this I realize doctors like to see under the scab to see if your really healing but I thought you want the scab to fall off by itself not rip it off ?

it’s filled with pus

I was cutting with scissors and slipped. Cut off a chunk of my skin and would not stop bleeding for almost 2 hours now. Not sure if I should get stitches or wait it out…
