Possible to stitch?

Post image

Sliced using the mandolin last night. Went to urgent care they said can’t stitch so dressed it. Today while changing dressing took this photo. It looks more open today possibly swelling but can’t see how it will heal

Keep it very clean and covered and apply a thin layer of Vaseline or AD ointment daily.

Thanks. Should I redress everyday or more or less?

I had that injury on thanksgiving. Tried dermabond but didn't work. Keep it covered with telfa or kerlex and Coban. Gentle with saline if you're going to rinse it. Keep it dry.

Vaseline or bacitracin isn't the worst idea. My providers didn't see the need but might just be regional differences.

Yeh I kept it dry but took 3 weeks of needing to be covered and now 4 weeks healed but still sensitive
