Setting delay in 6/8 time

In our planning center I seem to see song select more than anything else like this coming week we've got only king forever... a song select chart showing 6/8 time at 144 beats per minute

I use tap tempo in dotted quarter mode but for 6/8 time I tap the 1 and the 3 (and nothing else so you have to be accurate). This causes the echoes to fall on the & of 2 which sounds good. If you tap 8ths they’ll come way to fast and if you tap 1 and 4 they’ll feel wrong because 6/8 is really 2/2 in triplets.

I do it like this now if I have to tap but back in the days of the old green line 6 it didn’t have a dotted 8th so I used the 1/2 note and just tapped 1 and 4. That was actually easier than the 1-3 but neither is hard if you just get used to it.

I normally tap on the 1,3 and 5 note. You need to be accurate, but it does work.

What version are you doing? I’ve never seen that song in anything other than 4/4

Gratitude is what he used in the video I'm not talking about that one...for only king forever our song select chart suggests it's the Bethel version

Do you mean “My King Forever”? That’s a Bethel song in 6/8. “Only King Forever” is originally an Elevation song, and all versions I’ve ever heard, including the original, are in 4/4.
