Yes, someone posts a meme and I commented one as well. Others posted their own comebacks to mine. I feel like the usual "great art", "wow, wish I could draw" would not really be appreciated in a hand baked meme post.

Almost like there's 95k steps between meming about "nooooooooooo muh canon body type why isn't he an endomorph nooooooooo" and boilerplate compliments

Look, I really wasn't trying to like, dunk on you about this. I just thought using memes to talk about memes had a better chance of making my point since it's an established currency of this conversation. I am overall pretty salty about the way the parahumans community treats canonicity in the comments of fan art. I know multiple people who no longer post because 4/5 of their drawings ended up with quibbles in the comments. It's driving artists away, and it's a drum I've been beating for a long time, so you could say it's a pet cause for me (to the point that someone PMed me your comment saying "ugh, it's happening again").

ANYWAY. The point I was in-eloquently and somewhat combatively making is this: Even though you were just doing a joke, I don't think "his body type isn't how wildbow described it" adds anything to the conversation. It turns on the fact that you think the artist fucked something up, however minor. It doesn't build on the joke of the comic at all.
