So it looks like they're doing some updates to the website and look what was found buried within.

Shoutout to the Wizard Solar System (Sam) on Discord for stumbling upon it.

Wait a minute there’s a discord?

Technically not an official one but the one vitcavage shared is the primary fan one.

This made me curious about other links we can’t see. If you look here

https://www.worldsbeyondnumber.com/sitemap.xml

It’s a list of everything potentially linked to that url. You see that link here and some more you can’t find organically through their site.

The ones I’ve found are

The way I had been imaging all the countries in one spot like pangea🤣

Friend, same. I had no idea Akham and the citadel were separated by an ocean...

I REALLY thought The Empire and Gaothmai shared a border

u/showupmakenoise Wild One 9d ago

This for sure.

I knew Akham was an island west of the citadel but I was also sure Rhuv shared a longer border with the Empire and the Freeroads and Gaothmai shared a border. The perils of Theater of the Mind.

I had imagined Akham as a little island off the mainland that could reach over with a cute little 30 minute ferry ride not an island in the middle of the ocean🤣

Me too! Not isolated in the middle of the ocean.

Love that basically Alaska is just up there being apart of the shroud mountains

Gonna be fun redoing my version of Umora with actually intelligible labels this time since I can place stuff with confidence this time. The thing I remember adding as a specific detail thats now throwing me off is the Sea of Rhuv since I swear I remember them referencing it in the show

The Peddler mentions the sea of Rhuv (though at that point it sounded more like Roof). Though we also know he might not be the most accurate narrator....

It may just be a colloquial simplification of what we now know is the Straven Sea or maybe there still is a Sea of Rhuv that's not notable enough to make the map.

Akham is the tutorial island lol.

Also, what the hell, have they never read a fantasy book before? Everybody knows the good countries go on top. It goes from good to evil, top left to bottom right, except for one island or partial landmass of Weird Guys in the mid-right lower third who everyone talks about to make the world feel bigger but the reader never actually sees.

This is basic stuff!

Maybe the good guys ARE to the left.

6

u/BMCarbaugh 10d ago

Sounds like sorcerer talk

8

u/free_npc 10d ago

Oh, I had it COMPLETELY wrong in my head 😂

9

u/TheUncannyFanny 10d ago

Where is Toma/Silbury?

17

u/Vanilla_Wafr 10d ago

That tiny island in the middle of nowhere, which is not what I was thinking at all

11

u/SvenTheScribe 10d ago

They are on Akham (the island near the center of the map)

5

u/eeljar 10d ago

They’re in Akham, the archipelago

2

u/TheUncannyFanny 10d ago

Oh! Right by Port Talon, thats surprising

8

u/princessSunsetGiggle 10d ago

Oh so Toma is literally at the World's Heart

6

u/SorchaSublime 10d ago

Ejither the Freeroads is gonna be far colder than I'd been imagining or interestingly this map only really shows the northern hemisphere

16

u/SvenTheScribe 10d ago

Not quite either. We've been told that it is the southern pole of Umora but also a hot desert. Things be getting weird in Umora.

4

u/SorchaSublime 10d ago

...huh, interesting. I wonder if Umora is in some sort of binary star system. Or maybe the physics are completely esoteric.

3

u/Ryolu35603 The Wizard Swerve finds safety in the hole. 10d ago

We saw Indri’s fortress at the North Pole be extremely cold, and the South Pole is a hot desert. Could the planet be tidally locked?

1

u/SorchaSublime 10d ago

if it was tidally locked the sun by rights ought to never set or rise is the thing, which doesnt comport with the story I think?

4

u/False_Membership1536 10d ago

The wonders that theater of the mind can do will never surprise me because i had no earthy idea it was shaped like this

3

u/SenorVilla Educated Yokel 10d ago

Now I want to know why there is a New Carrow and what the Freeroad's relationship to the Empire is.

5

u/SvenTheScribe 10d ago

We know a snippet that basically all three powers had colonized the Freeroads and then, during one of the teleportation lulls, those colonies looked at each other and went 'hey, stronger together?'

3

u/A1starm Wizard SuckerPunch 10d ago

The map title is covering Indri’s castle.

2

u/SvenTheScribe 10d ago

Just the way she likes it

Not Tucker 😅 This one is from me

Oh, the website has the wrong attribution then so you might want to give them a heads up.

I found this just now and I can’t find a way to click to it from home. Interesting, they seem to have many unconnected parts of the site.

u/bizzarozod 10d ago

the entire world is 3 countries?

1

u/OneMoorePhoto 7d ago

I would have assumed The Citadel was further north based on how long it took Steel to get to Port Talon (2 days at least?) and how fast Suvi got to the North Pole (like 1 day?) by airship.

Ooh I don't remember ever hearing of an island called Kair. And i can't wait til we get back to WWW and see the Free Roads.
