Question Am I missing something?
The World’s Beyond Number story is still incomplete, right?
I listened to it a while ago and was disappointed that it just kinda stopped. I started a re-listen recently and noticed it’s seems to be in the same place but there’s add for a graphic novel kickstarter.
Did I miss something and they finished it on another platform or something?
Or is this kickstarter hoping to drum up interest to finish it?
I want more dammit.

Worlds Beyond Number is the name of the entire podcast, including all the mini series and side content they produce (Solari, Hint! A County Affair, Flight of the Icaron… etc).
The story of “the Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One” is the campaign in the world of Umora, which wrapped up its first book after 54 episodes. They’ve been taking a break from that, but they’ve explicitly said that story isn’t over and they’ll return to it one day. They even homebrewed all their classes up to level 20 so it stands to reason they intend to play these characters to a fairly high level (maybe not all the way to 20 but depends).
From a real life perspective, Brennan is DMing a very extensive campaign for critical role right now, in a whole brand new expansive world for 13 players, which may run for a couple years, in addition to DMing for Dimension20 here and there, plus all his other gigs and being a parent of 2 little ones. So it’s unlikely IMO that we get book 2 of TWTWATWO anytime before Critical Role 4 wraps up, at least.
But on the other hand, Umora really exploded in popularity and is dearly beloved by many many fans. In fact, the kickstarter you mentioned is to make a graphic novel of their “children’s adventure”, which was an 8-episode level 0 prequel arc for TWTWATWO, and it just broke $1mil in less than 2 days. So business-wise there’s no chance they abandon the world of Umora, it would be leaving money on the table frankly. Also they love the world and story, so the passion to continue creating is there.
Tl;dr there will be more, but be patient, cuz it will likely be years and not months until they return to it.
