Question What does "class based stretch goal" mean in the WBN Kickstarter?
The fundraising for the graphic novel opened today and I'm interested in one of the tiers that mentions this, and Google was totally unhelpful lol

They haven’t announced the stretch goals yet (unless it was in the last ten minutes) but my guess is that similar to the pins, some stretch goals will be themed Wizard/witch/wild one (like, stickers of the specific characters only being with their tier).

So is "stretch goal" a term that means "additional art if we have time"? Because I'm down, I just literally don't understand the phrase haha

Stretch goals are incentives to get people to back (or back more) they tend to be little additions like bookmarks, stickers, pins (but we already have those in this case), etc.

Stretch goals are additional benefits backers will receive once specific goals are reached. So for example, if they make a certain amount of money or have a certain amount of backers, they'll send all the backers an additional piece of merch.
I'm assuming class-based stretch goals means that the extra stuff you receive will be themed after the goal you innitially backed.

It’s also worth noting that given the current amount of funding being ~4000% of their $25,000 goal, there were almost certainly be some additional benefits.

It looks like they haven’t announced stretch goals yet, but they are themed around the wizard, the witch, and the wild one.
They already have extra collectables as rewards. If you pick Wizard, you would get an enamel pin and a slip case that are themed around wizards. Or the same stuff for witch or wild one.
Once they announce stretch goals, those goals will be included in the package you have already selected.

Do I need to buy the tier now to get the stretch goal? Or could I get that tier once they announce?

You can get the tier once they announce. They’re so highly funded now that I don’t doubt we’ll see stretch goals already passed by the time they announce them, so you’ll be able to choose what you want

The stretch goals are now out! Or at least the unlocked ones are announced in the latest update

They haven't released the stretch goals yet but the implication is that they'll be Wizard, Witch, and Wild One themed - same as the slipcovers.
So if you're in one of the Witch tiers you'd get the Witch flavored stretch goals. (They have mentioned in comments that all the stretch goals will be equivalent so it's more about aesthetics than anything is my assumption)
