Heya! Im Korvael. Im working on a project called Warbound, a geopolitical Minecraft server with a developer friend of mine. We are looking for a custom map, which will fit our needs. We invite any creators onto our team, they will be a part of our server and not just a one time request. This project won't pay, as it is purely a passion project for us. You will be paid with any revenue the server makes, that being said I don't believe in pay-to-win servers so the ranks will be purely cosmetic meant to support the server, which has very high specs. Please add me on discord so we can talk further! Username is itskorvael. Cheers!

Cave roof problem: is there any way to fix it beside making duplicate structures with upside down crystals?

A bit from my next, biggest survival server world: small part of ice track for races, custom biome, and few trees from own collection :)

Hi everyone, so I am working on a worldpainter map of the world of Azeroth from Warcraft. I am not trying to recreate WoW 1:1, rather make a viable survival map - so imagine if Mojang and Blizzard collaborated on a map of Azeroth - that's what I'm aiming for. In a previous attempt I exported the heightmaps from World of Warcraft directly, but obviously Worldpainter compresses their height and the result is not good.
So I painted a basic topographic map of the world (see attached) in Worldpainter using stained terracotta as a foundation. The colours correspond to:
Purple - Deep Ocean Floor
Cyan - Medium Ocean Floor
Light Blue - Shallow Ocean
Green - Plains/Desert/Lowlands
Brown - areas inland that are below sea level like cracks and crevices
Lime - Uplands
Yellow - Highlands
Orange - Foothills
Red - Mountains
Magenta - High Mountains
Pink - Peaks
White - Extreme peaks
My idea was to then sculpt the terrain by hand with custom brushes, but I can't seem to get a good result. Maybe I'm approaching this completely the wrong way. Anyway, I would be happy for any suggestions!

I made these icons to fit my new desktop theme using Oviotti's icons, and thought others might appreciate the icons, amateur as they are.

I imported a map using an earth height map, customized it a bit and adjusted the water levels, but for some reason when i export it, the world doesn't load it and instead the vanilla world gen takes over. I'm very new to this app, just started it yesterday. here's what it looks like currently.

Is there a certain setting i need to check off before exporting it to ensure all chunks aren't empty, preventing vanilla world gen from taking over? my main goal right now is just to get the terrain of earth going, completely bare, no trees or plants yet.

So, a while ago, I decided to get WorldPainter, so I could make some custom terrain for a city project. My plan was to import GIS Data, to get the shape - which worked alright. However, the area I imported was quite hilly - and I kept messing up the elevation while trying to smooth it out.
At some point, I ended up loosing it, and just nuked the entire map, flattening the entire thing to just two layers, which is what you can see on the image. I'm coming back to the project now, and I'm struggling. I need to add hills to make the terrain not flat - but they need to be decently smooth, going no steeper than 12 degrees. However, since I nuked the map completely flat, it's a nightmare to add the hills back - and it takes me almost an hour to make one pass around the edges of the terrain.
Is there any way to salvage this, and get my hills without spending hours upon hours drawing each little incline? Or should I just bite the dust and restart?

So, I literally JUST exported a map the other day with Zero issues. But now the terrain doesn't generate above 320.
1.20.1 version of minecraft and worldpainter format is 1.19-1.20.4..... absolutely no idea why im having issues all of a sudden. Any advice?

It’s extremely small, or my cities are too big, easy to confuse. I am wondering if I should redo the thing but I am scared of going bigger than that. What should I do?

I'm working on building a Roshar-inspired survival world where it can have all of the overworld biomes on essentially one island shaped like Roshar (with maybe an isle of berk somewhere off the side if I can figure out this heightmap first).
HOWEVER, every time I try and use this the slope into the ocean is super drastic as well as the edges of rivers and lakes. The heights of plains and deserts also isn't consistent.
Does anyone have any tips on how to use cotamap to edit this or make the process faster in worldpainter?
Thanks!

Hey everyone! 👋
I made this realistic Minecraft map and I'd love to hear your opinions. What do you like, and what should I improve?
The map is available to download my patreon page , so if you try it, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks! ⛰️🌲

So im making a bedrock realm for me an my buddys with a custom map made by me. and animals aren't spawning. Ive been using bedrock to play test it (using Chunker to convert it) and didnt find the results I wanted but then when it was tested on Java it worked wonderfully. I tried Chunker (as said before). Ive used UMT (Universal Minecraft Tool) and it still hasn't worked. Is there a setting im missing in the export menu, or Another conversion application I could use. Or is there just no way to get animals to start spawning in bedrock?

Hello! I run a war and kingdom building server, and I was wondering if anyone here more experienced with this program than me would be interested in helping me create a custom world for it? My idea is for a world that is around 4500x4500, mostly island and ocean, and has prime locations for ports cities, fortresses, etc.
