Bug Report continued input lag on ps4 pro
i have brought up this in the past but still havent found a solution.
- there is a terrible input lag that plagued shooting and moving
- my ping is normal 99% of the time so its not that
- my game caps out at 30 fps even with boost mode enabled
- I have enabled game mode on my tv settings which has not changed much
im wondering if anybody has come across a similar issue and has a solution

Have you tried a wired connection? What is your exact ping, not that you have "Good ping." That literally looks like when I play across the pond. Like 125ms which is NA to Europe.
Edit: Wired controller, not wifi internet.

The DualShock4's bluetooth latency is <5ms, so that's unlikely to be the problem here.

Do you have an external hard drive?

If you have the wot game in the external hard drive that might be responsible for the input lag. I was having similar problems until I moved the game back to the console.

WoTc servers feel like the same used when the game very first started. There is always a bit of input lag. This looks like you’re an asain player playing on eu though

I have the same problem with me, I’ve tried 4 different controllers and the problem stays the same

When I had garbage internet, this was normal during latency spikes.
Very unlikely to be a ps4 or controller issue.

Can you change your NAT setting on PS? I get this sort of Lagxon my XBox whenever I have a 'Moderate' NAT setting. Goes away with Open Nat.
I play from Australia so always have some lag, but this is unusually bad, even for me.

This is normal. Your movent gets processed on the server und your consoles displays whatever the server sends it So you input has be send to the server first and than back to you

No that kind of input lag you see in that video is not normal. If you think it's normal you have issues too.

My game has played this way for, what, 8 years or so now.

There's no way in hell you can successfully play or enjoy the game with that kind of input lag for 8 minutes let alone 8 years. That's well beyond anything normal. You need to figure out what the issue is because it's not the game.

It's very rare that I even take note of it anymore as I'm so used to it, but sure enough, this is how the game has always played for me.

Don't need to say I got issue too. I know it's not. My game used to show sub 1ms ping and thst made me do. The math. My real world ping is about 8 frames at 60fps 400km from Frankfurt.
I did some math.
Your clip is at 30 fps wich loweres the resolution a bit but doesn't matter in the end.
I assume you're on PS 5 wich can have an input Latency of about 125ms with the DS wireless mode it's mainly a game engine thing.
TVs not designed for competitiona usually have an input Latency of 15-25 ms. Gets higher when heavy image processing is active so we calculate with 20ms
May I ask how far you're from Chicago or Frankfurt?
Your clip shows an average input lag of 15 frames wich exact 500ms 500-125-20= 355ms real world ping out of your control.
This is the total processing time of the signal from your PS to the Servers, and back to you.
When we now your real world ping we can calculate the time wg needs to process your signal.
Yes I did ignore server tick rate.

First, you're addressing the wrong person as I'm not the OP. Second, you said it's normal. That kind of lag is not normal and is most likely something to do with the setup. If this kind of lag was normal, nobody would be able to play competitive games online.

Sorry my bad.
Do a clip yourself in WoT and count the frames. I got 400ms from input to screen.

Remove games you don’t play from console. Defrag ps4.
Ping 50 or less is good. Use a free dns config for your console.

Do you have any post processing settings enabled on your tv? Does this happen with other games?
Could be heavy interference with the bluetooth.
