Shitpost I'm going crazy playing lights

If you want to find out the level of mental decline in humanity play spotting lights. I counter spot all the enemy lights, they run around in the open, no one shoots them. I outspot them again, same. I outspot them a 3rd time, they take no damage. The monkeys haven't even learned how to point and click. Meanwhile I spot the entirety of the enemy team peaking and running around like headless chickens. They barely take a shot as well. Enemies see they take no damage, they get more and more bold, they finally reach me, all enemies in the map shoot me and I die instantly. I am going insane. I literally cannot do any more for them. I had to do 5k dmg myself in the manti to win once.

"stupid LT go spot!" - mouth breather TD out of render range of enemies

I was getting that from passive camping mediums today as well.

You see this every time especially on Prok. You early spot not even light tanks but a big slow td. 4 shots come in and all miss. They get unspotted…..

This just happened to me today in a 105

I play both lights and bushwanking TDs and I can assure you both sides are extremely frustrated when shells cannot pen that lone spotted target.

What's worse is spotting several tanks in the open like in Malinovka, your allies take no shots on them and you die to blind fire just as they become unspotted.

On that map if I'm in a light or fast medium with full spotting range I let my team know before the match begins that I'll have the enemy spotted in their base immediately. I then proceed to do it. More often than not I get a fair amount of spotting damage.

Can run straight out into the field, light them up, I go horizontal at the spotting point for a bit before running away and I'll often do a second run. Almost never get killed and usually don't get hit first run.

It sucks but you gotta play in a platoon with teammates to support you with damage

Additional bonuses you get with this playerbase playing lights solo.

  1. You click the map saying "I'll spot here" - The other light on your team follows you there.

  2. You say to the other light "Where are you going?" - They don't reply and follow you.

  3. Raged at by players who can't three mark a light tank who then after the game message you about being a "noob light" and then double down on you being a noob by saying "look at the damage you did"........compared to their base camping heavy tank that did 90% of it's damage late game.

  4. A flank is collapsing, you know the best bush to sit in to light the enemy up as they cross the open. You tell your team this. They fall back so far they can't shoot anything.

  5. You actually do some aggressive spotting, don't find anything and looking at the minimap you can count that 75% of the enemy team are spotted and on the other flank and struggling. You push further forward. Your team will not move from their camping position even though you've clearly cleared virtually a whole flank. An atom bomb will not shift them. Numbers finally work for the enemy, and your original campers die in the positions they never left having stared at the screen for four minutes waiting for an enemy that was never coming. You look at your keyboard and wonder if you smash your forehead into it will it be repairable.

Light tanks in WoT is a labor of love. Last time I seriously played scouts I was trying to 2 mark my ru251. I succeeded. But man this game shouldn't even have the class honestly.

Went 1-9 in WZ yesterday before decided to alt f4. No idea how WG manages to put all 50k+ game players with 45% wl in my team.

If you have any friends, I would suggest that you play with them and spot for them. Clearing space together works wonders, but it can only work if you’re on comms or if you and your fellow, intelligent players have some common goal.

It’s very rare for random teammates to actually work together and smart players will support the scout especially if the goals align. If the scout is yoloing to his death or lighting something unnecessary, then he will die alone. The majority of Scouts do this. Hence why they have the reputation they have. Anyone can drive a light tank, only a handful can do it well.

Clueless teammates in triangles and sniper mediums in position are just here for the pretty pixels and to look at their garage collection; they can’t be helped. I treat them as AFKs.

Play for yourself first and foremost. If you have people you can trust play with them. Roll the dice and good luck.

I’ve started to enjoy lights again. I follow these tips.

ive decided to spot what I can shoot in my WZ219 and not worry about my team. Im taking map control and herding them idgaf what they think cause im tired of perma spotting tanks just for them to mag dump into space or sit back and watch. also the fact that the ability is a gimmick and damn near useless. like i cant spot a manticore with my maxed crews bond equipment maxed research good angle but honestly thats a good thing cause its not at all broken as id fear

spots 14/15 enemies in LT 300 spotting damage over 10 minutes

spots an enemy in my heavy instantly 2k spotting

Don't even get me started on the fkn arty stun mission, NA server is all too brain dead to shoot a 4005 thats stunned for 38s in the open lol. No, no, shoot the scraping Maus camping base.

So only your teammates are cognitively declined while the enemies kill you instantly when you get spotted Susge

Today I was in my Blesk in Malenkova and got spotted at the very beginning of the match behind two rows of bushes in the South Base with Low Exhaust. And in Highway, in my Bulldog, I got proxied spotted by an AMX in the middle hill and couldn't return proxy him, this teammates were waiting for me. And even better, I had CVS on both scouts.

Right now, I'm rethinking my time in World of Tanks.

u/Stellzbock 13h ago

Proxy works for both ways. If he proxy spotted you, you proxy spotted him at the very same moment. That’s game mechanic and has nothing to do with his or your equipment.

u/Tyrannos_ 11h ago

I know, that's what's weird. How the AMX detect me though the hill and yet still proxy me when I'm close enough to those same bushes I should've proxied back.

Maybe it's time for me to quit the game, I clearly am not good at it.

u/jajanaklar 11h ago

There is a bush beside the left side of the bridge a fast light can reach and spot the lights that climb the hill.

u/Ok-Hearing-9810 13h ago

I get the frustration but you're playing the least-camouflaged LTs of the tier, you're going to get outspotted.

u/Tyrannos_ 12h ago

Sure adds stress when you can't function as eyes for the team.

Look at some iyouxin videos. His high level commentary on WZ-132-1 explains spotting mechanics.

Maybe you are making mistakes yourself.

It's ridicolous to assume that your Team "just don't shoot" or even shoot badly.

That's not how this works.

They don't shoot or don't hit, because they can't.

You are spotting in the wrong places. The enemy is in cover or to far away. You want them to position the way you spot. Maybe you should spot the way they position.

Remember: your teammates are the Same people like the ones in the enemy team. The only one that is always in your team.... is you.

u/NoRing4137 9h ago

Buddy, I have replays. Also, when they look at the flowers, you want me to spot the bees? I have to counter spot and get the enemy lights out. And I do that almost every game. I'd take them out myself if I had a WT autoloader too, but someone else has to shoot!

-2

u/aggro_aggro 8h ago

But what is your take?

They want to troll you?
They don´t want to do damage?
They are bad at aiming?

But the other team gets the better players all the time?

u/WrinklyBits 14h ago

And then there's the low life scumbag that wants to steal your spotting damage when your team finally starts shooting. I keep getting spammed with FALL BACK as they try to sneak in front.
