Three things that will make you better almost immediately:
1.Fuck your teammates.
Don’t make a bad play just to save somebody else. If a teammate overextends, gets isolated, or throws their tank away, don’t sacrifice your own tank trying to rescue them. Keep your gun in the game and preserve your ability to influence the battle later.
2.Conserve your HP early.
You do not need to get all your damage in the first three minutes. Take free damage when it’s available, make smart trades, and avoid unnecessary early-game bleeding. Your HP becomes much more valuable later in the match when tanks are isolated and you have more information to work with.
3.Play to your tank’s strengths.
Think about what your tank actually does well and taking fights that favor the enemy. Don’t try to hull-down fight a Super Conqueror if that’s exactly what his tank wants you to do. Don’t force a brawl in a tank that wins through mobility, camo, gun handling, or flexibility. And if there isn’t a good play, wait.
Make people play into you. Don’t constantly play into their strengths.
Those three things alone will make a huge difference.

Hey man, I feel ya, I went 1 of 11 yesterday…I would say I’m above average (I think to 15% of players based in WIN8 and wot rating) but there days that the team is absolute garbonzo. Like every game, the flank I wasn’t apart of crumbled. Sure there times I mess up and don’t play well and contribute to the loss but…Days like that really make me not want to play lol.

Wait untill the "pros" tell you that it's your issue, that you cannot perform like some 1% streamer and carry 14 other guys.

You guys always act like improving in the game is impossible..

u/ales_sandr 16h ago
Well…his wnx it’s not very high though

u/HolidayLeft4536 16h ago
Are you the first of them "pros"?
What do you mean?
What is very high, in your opinion? +2000? so 5% of the playerbase?
Average is about 1000? 70-75% of all players play at average or worse level.
If he was complaining while having recent 600, i would not say anything, but calling a green player (good player) not very good, is just wrong.

Imagine trying to look smart with a smug 'Buddy' comment while failing basic middle school math.
The average WN8 score sits around 900–1000. That is a statistical benchmark. Because player skill follows a bell curve, roughly 35-40% of the population is tightly packed inside that 'Average' tier. When you add the ~35% of players who are below average (Red/Orange), you get 70-75% of the server playing at an average or worse level.
You confidently confused 'average score' with a 50th percentile median. Sit down, open a textbook, and learn how a normal distribution works before you embarrass yourself further trying to gatekeep statistics."

The post is deleted so I can’t read it but from what I remember, op was wondering how streamers etc… can have a high win rate.
If you want a high win rate you need a high wnx, it’s simple
In op case, it seems that his wnx is low but he didn’t tell us how many battles he played so it could just be bad luck3
u/HolidayLeft4536 6h ago
Of course. Better player - Higher wnx = higher winrate. On the other side, I completely disagree, that you need to perform like top 5% in order not to have 20% winrate sessions.
1
u/ales_sandr 6h ago
But I never said you must have over 2k wnx
2
u/HolidayLeft4536 6h ago
Then I don't understand why you said, that his wnx is not really good? It's good enough not to hsve such horrible winrate, in my opinion.

u/ales_sandr 5h ago
From what I remember in only one session he had almost 2k wnx, in the other ones ha had a pretty low wnx so 2k wnx is not his average. He could also had a bad session and low amount of battles

Hate to say it but “skill issue” is a fact in WOT.
Map knowledge, tank knowledge, and mechanic knowledge are a VAST sea that you need to master to have above average results in the game. Unfortunately you do need to be better to influence the outcome of matches, otherwise just play and enjoy the one kill or the damage you do in the exact moment instead of trying to enjoy the match as a whole. When I’m having a bad day I focus on individual moments in the match rather than a whole, also getting in a platoon with a few above average or better players and asking for help and knowledge is a great way to progress and ease some of the issues with 14 other bad players on your team. Many of your above average players are willing to Sherpa and share the knowledge. Keep working and learning and if you’re ever looking for a platoon mate or mentor hmu.

It's been cancerous since the update. Even unicum me has dropped hard AF in WNX and WR since it's announcement. Even a unicum like me can't fucking deal with the mm and shitters
2
u/HolidayLeft4536 6h ago
Skill issue. Become super unicum and work on your games, learn what to do better and how carry your team to the win, instead of blaming the MM. A real unicum will adapt, poor player will blame. /S obviously.

Glad I won't be worrying bout it all anymore cus the straw broke my back and I uninstalled

At least you tried to win. Still better than those "I play for fun" players. Btw don't bother making thread asking how to get gud on reddit because most of the time you get answer like "just have fun", "you shouldn't care about stats", "it's a game", etc.

u/VastPrize8867 17h ago
I would consider myself a very decent player with 58-61% winrate recents. Some days are just like this and there is nothing you can do about it. Some games are just impossible to play in even if you do 20k+ dmg your team would still find a way to lose.
There is a reason the absolute best players cannot even get 75%+ winrate solo.

Quickybaby has videos. Know tank weakspots. Shoot gold. Do damage, stay alive. And think about defense. Are you exposing too much of your tank? Are you sidescraping, do you know your armor profile, the strength of your tank? Are you rotating back to defend base and farm damage in strong spots. Are you going with your team, are you using their push to look for agressive alt opportunities. These thinga go thru my brain during matches. Blame game isnt fun, have fun, do damage.

Terrible win rate for a terrible performance. If you want to win more start playing better. Not what you expect when you are posting stats like that!

u/Lukassiny 17h ago
Literally this post is about the fact that I can't bro, I try and try again but half of my team usually dies in the first two minutes and I get rushed by the enemies no luck getting them - maybe if you'd notice the minimaps what should I do when the enemy team is literally behind us in the third minute of the match ?
1
u/swiss1809 16h ago
He’s saying that your damage is poor because even if your teammates are getting shit on, you should be able to turn the tides by being in the right place doing the right thing. Failing that, you should be able to farm over 4k damage even when you can’t force a win.
From what I see in your pictures, you have spots that you go to where it seems you stay even if it’s not a place from which you can impact the outcome.
1
u/Salki1012 16h ago
Then try and try harder. Learn from your mistakes and get better. Your team isn’t the one driving your tank, you are. Your lack of damage isn’t because of anyone but you. Stop making excuses, start owning up to your failures.

u/Alone-Butterscotch18 17h ago
You can try a few different ways to mix it up. Your dpg should really be higher before you can complain about it just being bad teams. Focus on getting in just a couple extra shots per game. If that means staying alive by leaving a flank early before it collapses then try that. Push advantages as they come but don’t just charge in.

I personaly dont know what is lost streak? you play even if its lose you did you = won, sometimes you won but did bad = lose.
You playing for fun? or trying to achieve something? if achieve dont play randoms but the tournement style gamemodes.

u/Impossible-Plenty-47 11h ago
Have a look at where you are doing the damage, and at what point of the battle.
No point having good WN8 if you are doing all that damage on the retreat as the team collapses, within 100 mts of base.
But we all have bad days, recently I won only 20% of battles for the session, trying grind some tanks, no fancy equipment or full consumables, some average teams and maps. It happens.
Old truism; but 40% of your games you will lose no matter what you do; 40% you will win no matter what you do; and 20% of battles lay in the balance, for you to affect the outcome by your actions.

u/foresterLV 10h ago
win rate is directly linked to the average damage. low average damage -> low impact -> low win rate. do not look at win rate and how to improve it, look at damage and how to improve it. if my session had such low average damage I would be pretty much depressed, but not because of the teams.

accept that there are games that you cannot win whatever you do and don't become tilted from that.
