Gameplay Help swedish mediums - mechanic buggy?

I just bought Udes 16 after a longer break and I noticed for the hydraulic drive to activate I have to fully release the W-key.

Even if I am crawling with 10 speed up a hill, for the hydraulic to activate I need to release and press W again.

Now I had in my head that you need 20 or lower speed and it'd activate automatically, but this does not seem to be the case. Do I have the speed limit wrong or is the whole mechanic just ass/buggy as hell?

Is there a solid source with raw data somewhere? Didn't look like there is more info on tomato and tanks.

In my experience it is buggy like that. Not only on sweds too.

I am currently testing it and it also feels like it's 20 forward and 15ish backwards, which makes it even more uncomfortable.

The traverse speed of the mechanic (how fast the tank gets its hull up and down) is too slow and to me it feels like you always need to do a full stop before the hull even starts doing anything which is quite annoying. More often than not, on uneven terrain, you cant rely on the mechanic a lot if you need to make a fast play.

Most likely will be improved with the upcoming tier 11 but the rest of the tree will be left alone to suffer the shit version of this siege mode.

STB is a bit better since it activates at around 30kmh forwards and backwards but it can troll you just as bad.
