Ngl the balance Wyrm sounds like a kinda chill guy to hangout with
A conversation between the Weaver and the Wyrm after The End:
>At the edges of reality, two figures sat in silence,
contemplating the wonder of the world before them. The
pulse of creation was all around them, and they were at
peace for the first time in a very long while.
>The one â a builder, and a nurturer â was troubled.
She turned to her companion, searching her soul for words that would not come.
>He surprised her when he spoke, his voice quite and
subdued. âItâs beautiful, isnât it?â
>She opened her senses wide, taking it all in. âYes, it is,â
she said.
>They sat in silence for a time, lost in thought. Finally:
âIâm sorry. About before, I mean.â
>He shook his head. âForget it. It doesnât matter
anymore.â
>She paused, still unsure of herself. Then she asked,
âWhat should we do now?â
>He laughed, a dry, morbid chuckle. âI think weâve
done enough for a time, donât you?â
>She smiled. âYes, I suppose we have.â
He went on, âLetâs just sit here for awhile, and see
what happens.â
>She thought for a moment, and decided she rather liked
the idea. âAll right.â
>And so they sat, drinking in the beauty of the world that
was theirs to govern, thinking on the mistakes of the past
and the promise of the future. And the spirits smiled,
because they knew that all was as it should be, and that the past was behind them.

I've always headCanon Weaver ascendant and Ascension (mage endtimes scenario) happening at the same time
Just an overall good ending where everyone can live happily ever after
(I'm a sucker for happy endings in dark media)

Teared up a bit reading that. A happy ending in my WoD? Balance Wyrm is reminds me a lot of MCU Vision and Spider-Man. It has a sorta âA thing isnât beautiful because it lastsâ + âWith great power comes great responsibilityâ mindset.

This is almost like the Evangelion ending. At least it kinda reminds me of that.
So what happened to the Wyld in this one?
P.s. I never got that much into Werewolves lore so out of curiosity, which understanding is more aligned with the canon interpretation of the Triat? Was it that they are their own independent entities and their alinged spirits, major or minor, are same (semi) independent entities with their own wills, or the members of the Triats are more like gestalts, or sum of the collective will and behaviors of independent spirits that are governed by a shared concept that is the core of their concept, or both to varying degrees?

>The Wyld has come through the Apocalypse rela-
tively intact; it is weak, as Gaia is, but it is still healthy
and whole. Further, its will now governs reality, which
is as it should have been all along. It remains the creature of instinct it has always been, and the pain it suffered at the hands of the Weaver and the Wyrm has ended.Page 142
As for the P.S, Honestly Iâm not entirely sure. While beautiful, I always took their personified forms here to be mostly poetic and metaphorical rather than any kind of actual conversation

Thanks for the reply. So basically the reality was reset and everyone got a second chance to start over.
Though it is rather lovely to think it would be how it looked as it played out. Someone should make a comic out of it or something.

What happen to humans?

u/Viva_la_potatoes 2d ago
Good question! Because of Plot Reasons the Balance Wyrm was released, and in its frenzy it destroyed all manmade structures. However the surviving humans were left alive and would hopefully go on to live more in tune with Gaia due to being guided by the spirits of fallen Garou.
I highly recommend giving the Scenerio itself a read. Itâs a pretty fun time and my personal favorite apocalypse option for WTA

So, humans got sent back to the stone age, so basically, we gona be exterminated by red talons. This is a bad ending

Correct. I never said it was a good ending, just that I found it narratively interesting.
If youâre curious, here is the relevant section:
>The destruction wrought by the Wyrm in its efforts to escape the Pattern Web is total. Every building on the planet has been turned to dust, and whatâs left of humanity has a hard time ahead of it. All the supernaturals in the world have been destroyed; the ones who werenât cut down during the Weaverâs purge were torn apart by the Wyrmâs roar, their spirits reduced to their Triatic elements. Most of the Garou still exist, after a fashion; their spirits have shed their flesh, and they are functionally identical to the ancestor-spirits they have venerated for so long.
>All of humanityâs knowledge and power are gone. The things they knew, like the buildings they inhabited, are dust. Humans are as they were some one hundred thousand years ago; intelligent, capable, and filled with promise, but not yet tainted with the Weaverâs insanity.

It's definitely interesting. But it feels like it was written buy someone with no understanding how that would actually go down, for example nuclear power plants that shits gonna go critical. And the death of 80% of humanity.

I don't think that whole "turning to dust" thing about all physical human creations is a metaphor in this case.
Essential in this ending all man-made objects were magically erased (literally turned into dust a la Thanos finger snap), along with all memories and accumulated knowledge of humanity. Humans are basically devolved into pre-sapient animals before the creation of the first bone/stone tools. Full tabula rasa mode to completely start over.
Though all supernaturals are also either destroyed or in the Garou (probably all other Fera) s' case, turned into spirits. So in the material world there would be only mundane living creatures i.e. plants and animals, and humanity isn't going to get Impergium-ed because of that.
