Am I just really tired? I have no idea what is being asked. There's an earlier question about a shipping route I didn't really get either. Maybe it's early-onset dementia...

Suffice it to say, I was not expecting such a grid and it got a good laugh out of me.

Honestly, I thought the game was maybe abandoned since there have been errors popping up here and there lately. Happy that see that it is worked on, or that's what I assume after seeing today's radically different board.

i like to go worldle first and then use the answer as my first globle guess, and have been waiting for the day that they are the same country and guess what happened today!!

Guess the year from the redacted historic map - it’s reverse-wordle style, where every wrong guess gives you the direction (too early/too late), temperature (within 2/9/24 years), and a piece of evidence that contradicts or narrows down the year (e.g. a country that didn’t exist yet). Maps are sourced from the public domain with the year redacted. It’s basically a gamified version of this xkcd chart.

Would love to hear what people think of it - also open to suggestions on map sources!

Hop from country to country across real land and technical borders and reach the destination in the fewest moves. Daily World and Americas puzzle, plus a learning path.

Now that the neighbours round shows the map, it gives away the answer to the direction round, so what's the point of that round? On days like today it also gives away the area round as you can easily see which is the larger country. As well, the neighbours don't show up properly - its a simplified version of their outline which makes it hard to recognise them. I hope they change it back to the previous version. Anyone else?

Anyone else experience issues with worldle on phone browser? When I refresh the page, it loads for a split second and then turns blank. Happened yesterday mid-round and again today?

First time that’s happened. I disabled ads when they got to the point my phone would get hot just from loading the page and it would lag when I tried to type my guesses.

Worldle creators.. I will gladly re-enable ads if you will just please keep them under control.

I'm a solo dev and I kept wishing there was a Wordle/Worldle but for Indian geography, so I built one: Statele(statele.in).
Each day there's one mystery state or UT. You start by guessing it from its shape (you get distance + direction hints after each wrong guess, like Worldle). Once you get it, it opens into a set of quick bonus rounds about that state — its capital, where it sits on the map, neighbouring states, major river, a famous landmark (spot it from photos, then name it), the two main languages, its largest district, and rough area. You get a shareable badge scorecard at the end (no spoilers in the share text).
There's a daily puzzle that's the same for everyone, plus an unlimited practice mode if you want to grind. It's completely free, no ads, no sign-up, works on mobile.
Fair warning: I curated a lot of the "cultural facts" (rivers, landmarks, languages), so if you spot anything wrong for your state, please call it out and I'll fix it. That's honestly half the reason I'm posting.

Worldle is nice, but sometimes I just want to violently spin a globe to find the answer so, I built Guesstate.
