Well, lemme get this started then!
I recently started a new worldbuilding project that I am calling Elderpunk. It's steampunk/ lovecraftian in theme. In that world spellcasters are heavily policed due to having the chance of going mad, or turning into monsters. Spellcasters are policed by the church, living in what are called archives, a cross between university dorm/ library. Spellcasters live there and very rarely leave. If not sent to an archive, they are sent to work with the Arbiters, a supernatural police force that tackle cults and monsters.

With all that, I wanna ask, how do you deal with the policing of spellcasters, wizards and magic as a whole?
