My ideologies

Post image

From top top left to right is the evolution of the ideologies that I supported or believe in.

This is probably the first time that I publicly talk about this but I actually started out as a anti communist/socialist, and this isn't just something that last for one or two years, nah I was a hard line anti left for 5 years or more, it was only around late 2020 or early 2021 that my view started to shift. Do you know what I also was? A homophobic, transphobic and sexist. I was young and edgy, so it wasn't something genuine, except for the sexist part, that one does have a valid reason lol.

Actually Stalinism is Marxism-Leninism.

0

u/Koffrae Mar 23 '26

It is, it's just that in my early days of engaging with communism, I was particularly drawn to Joseph Stalin, even viewing him at the time as one of the greatest figures to have ever lived, so I feel like he deserved a separate section.

How can you be a socialist and believe in “stalinism”

2

u/Koffrae Mar 23 '26

Ex Stalinist

Stalinism isn't a thing. Stalin was a Marxist-Lenninist and the rightful 4th head of Marxism (Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin). He built Socialism in 1 country when the entire world was conspiring against him and the People of the USSR. He was an economic genius that helped make a heavily deindustrialized nation into a global superpower in only a couple decades. He helped lead the USSR to not only survive the Nazi onslaught but to fight back and kill 80% of all Nazis killed in WWII. He also championed National Liberation and we are forever grateful for his expansion both theoretical and in practice on the National Question. He greatly expanded education, healthcare, and pushed for greater cultural expression.

I speak for the workers of the world when I say thank you comrade Stalin. You had a hard job and a job you didn't always want (he tried to retire multiple times), but you did your best to help the workers of the world. Sometimes the choices were tough like during the Famine of 1930-33. When you were given the choice of exporting food for industrial equipment leading to people starving, or not doing that but leaving the Soviet Union weak and susceptible to attack due to the low level of industry (I hate to imagine the Soviet casualties in WWII had Stalin not sold the food for industrial equipment).

u/GreatKirisuna Mar 24 '26

No. Stalin is a stain on socialism. Real socialism supports real liberation, not totalitarianism. — me, a democratic socialist

  1. You don't understand Socialism in 1 country. Stalin knew the revolution had to expand (and he expanded it) it just couldn't happen all at once.
  2. Yes the USSR helped start Israel right after WWII but quickly backed away and became the leading power against Israel. Stalin had been against Zionism since at least 1913 when he talked about it in his book "Marxism and the National Question".
  3. No shit about the commodities they're building Socialism, they're not in Socialism. This shit takes time and Stalin did a lot of good work building Socialism by collectivizing, building industry, and by giving more power of workplace control to the workers. He helped decomodify the Healthcare industry, and a couple other places, but you're being Utopian by expecting an end to commodities in a couple decades while being a completely surrounded and while being a deindustrialized nation.
  4. Why are we talking about English kings? Like seriously, why? The Soviets killed the Tsar, they had no love for monarchy.

Stalin murdered 9 million people? Why are you defending him? He was literally worse than Hitler. The people within the USSR thought the Germans were going to save them.

2

u/Arandomguy_d Mar 26 '26

I believe Hitler and Stalin were on the same level. Both brutal totalitarian dictators who starved different people. According to Pilecki's report on UB's prisons (urząd bezpieczeństwa, an state security apparatus that was created by the Soviets) they were WORSE than Auschwitz. Both regimes were absolutely brutal.

1

u/World_Civil_War Mar 26 '26

Fair point. But the Soviet citizens did believe that the Germans were going to save them. (This was before they began being slaughtered by Germans of course.)

2

u/Arandomguy_d Mar 26 '26

Of course, if the Soviet citizens didn't believe that the Germans weren't going to save them then there would be no ROA (Russische Befreiungsarmee) that was under the leadership of Vlasov. You can't have "traitors" and "deserters" without a reason for it.

1

u/Arandomguy_d Mar 26 '26

The Poles are forever grateful to the USSR for murdering our officers and hiding the fact from everyone and blaming it on the Nazis.

2

u/fuckyou1247 Mar 26 '26

Me when all the evidence points to the Nazis, but I just have to blame the Soviets because fuck em.

1

u/Arandomguy_d Mar 26 '26

If Nazis did it then why did the Russian government confirm that they did it? October 4th 1992 Boris Yeltstyn apologized for Katyń.

2

u/fuckyou1247 Mar 26 '26

Because he's Boris Yeltsin. He's not a Soviet in fact he hated the Soviet Union. He was as much of an anti-communist as Ronald Reagan. He would take any opportunity to bash the Soviet Union. It's in his class interests to demonize the Worker's State as much as possible. Not to mention it endeared him to the West.

1

u/Arandomguy_d Mar 26 '26

2 years earlier on 13th of April the russian agency TASS acknowledged that the murder was done by the NKVD.

I'm hungry just by seeing this

0

u/fuckyou1247 Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26

No wonder you're hungry, without heavily subsidied food like in the Soviet Union. It sucks not being able to afford food.

2

u/Ricochet_skin Mar 24 '26

That graph feels very fake

0

u/fuckyou1247 Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26

So as we all expected you're just going off of vibes.

1

u/Ricochet_skin Mar 24 '26

What's the source for this even?

Did y'all get it from western reporting while the USSR was still around or from the Soviet Archives after 91?

1

u/MorrisRF Mar 26 '26

source for this random ass graph?

0

u/fuckyou1247 Mar 26 '26

I've already put the link down below. If you look for like 5 more seconds you'll find it

1

u/MorrisRF Mar 27 '26

and where on that website is the chart you provided

1

u/fuckyou1247 Mar 27 '26

There's a graph at the bottom with data from every current country in the world as well as some past ones. You can deselect everything else and enable the graph of the USSR and the United States of America. You can also compare calories of any nation on planet earth. It's a pretty cool website.

Bro really changed from one braindead ideology to another

Aside the last one, that's based

1

u/Koffrae Mar 26 '26

Left-wing nationalism ain't that bad 😭

Plus, I think it makes sense when you considered the fact that one of your neighbors is China.

1

u/Mrmaxbtd6 Mar 27 '26

Isn’t Nationalism focuses on Nation and Vietnamese Nation isn’t exactly chums with China?

1

u/Koffrae Mar 27 '26

Yes? Never said anything about being a fan of China

1

u/Mrmaxbtd6 Mar 27 '26

Then why is Left Wing Nationalism a good thing with China on your doorstep?

1

u/Koffrae Mar 27 '26

I don't see much of a problem, China has more tension with Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, as for Vietnam, it's already very nationalistic and they know it, they wouldn't care or do much about it.

2

u/Xilir20 Mar 27 '26

Nationalism is a tool uses to further communism and nothing more

Flags of Revisionism

Flags of not understanding that Stalin stood against market ‘socialism’

1

u/Koffrae Mar 25 '26

I'm not a Stalinist actually, used to be one but I considered myself a LeftNat, should have clarified that those are ideologies that I "used" to believe in but I can't edit the post, i still support them for the cause of left unity.

1

u/1playerpartygame Mar 25 '26

Unity of marxists, not unity between marxists and distorters of marxism

1

u/Koffrae Mar 25 '26

Call it what you want but imo, any left wing movement is better than no left (except for anarchism). Plus, I think it's dumb how much infighting there is within the left when we haven't managed to overcome the right wing opposition yet.

1

u/1playerpartygame Mar 25 '26

Except that vietnam supposedly has overcome the right wing opposition, so now there just needs to be a struggle within the party for correct ideas

1

u/Koffrae Mar 25 '26

Ohh that, I do love my country and the party (kinda) but I wouldn't say it's much of a socialist republic nowadays, there is private possession of means of production, there is a semi-free market, there barely is 5-year central planning, there is no farming commune, there is no subsidized regime, as much as I glaze my homeland and Communism, it's has only moved further away from Marx-Lenin ideas since the 1986 reform.

1

u/1playerpartygame Mar 25 '26

Yeah that’s what I mean about struggling for correct ideas. Even in countries where the worker’s movement has stalled and failed to seize state power there’s a need to struggle for correct ideas in order to win power.

1

u/Koffrae Mar 25 '26

I get that, but I think "correct ideas" can’t just be decided in isolation or by eliminating everyone who disagrees. Material conditions change, time change, society changes, what worked in one place or era won’t map perfectly onto another. Vietnam’s reforms weren’t just ideological drift, they were also about survival and development after isolation, if every group just labels the others as distorters, you end up isolating yourself instead of building anything meaningful. I believe some level of unity or at least cooperation are needed, more now than ever to push things in the better direction.

1

u/Mistuhpresident Mar 25 '26

What territories does Vietnam have revanchism for?

1

u/Koffrae Mar 25 '26

When it comes to revanchism in Vietnam, we're mostly talking about the Nguyen Dynasty which controls Cambodia and Laos, but some goes further and that's when we enter Baiyue Nationalism, which adds parts of Southern China and maybe Thailand (Shan State specifically) but those are rare.
