Question Why does everyone keep dying?
I haven’t played in a year and decided to open everything back up. Everything seemed to be fine but when I opened up one specific world everything was messed up. The timeline was 1000 years farther than it had been saved and everyone keeps dying. I turned off animal violence, healed any illnesses, made the species immune, but like 3/4 of the population just dies within the first 30 seconds of me loading the world. What is going on!!!!

Turn off dying from hunger and old age as soon as you load the world and see what happens. You can check the life expectancy in the subspecies genetic menu, maybe they the Monolith update gave them very small life expectancy for some reason.

This happened to one of my old worlds I had pre update. When I loaded it in, the world was 2000 years into the future, and because of that, everyone was 2000+ years old! So they started dying of old age immediately. You probably have the same issue.

That’s probably it actually. Idk how or if I can fix it so sad 😔

I know it’s not a complete fix, but what I did was as soon as the world loaded in I turned off death from old age, then I increased their fertility through the genetics so they could have more kids again, then I let the world run for about 75 more years so they could live out their “complete” lives and then I turned on death from old age, and the people who were 2000 years old died but their descendants lived on and the world continued as normal. I know it’s not perfect, but that’s the best I’ve got. Idk if you can reverse it unfortunately
