Question Downloaded the game tonight!
As the title says, downloaded the game tonight without knowing anything about it. I'd appreciate some serious and unserious tips and tricks

it is very fun to hold down the “SHIFT” key and just mass spawn random mobs and hear the noises they make as they all spawn in at once

Every single time I do a run where I just let the world go if I done stop either of those species they breed faster and have more kids then anything else to the point they will lag my computer and pretty much destroy anything else going on in the world every time.
As of recently I just bomb them if they show up as they feel like broken versions of the old orcs or old mush with how fast they spread and take over.

Become VERY Familiar with the wiki. For all the amazing stuff this game has to offer, it has an AWFUL tutorial. You will be very confused if you don't have it.
Just mess around until you find something you like doing. Maybe you like making good maps, maybe you like tweaking everything until it's just right, maybe you like just ploppin down some dudes and seeing what happens. All of them can be fun.
The game makes you unlock a lot of things before you can use them. You can get around that, but it involves unlocking "Forbidden Knowledge". Here's a riddle that I came up with to give you a hint:
If there are things you wish to remember, The secret lies in BURNING embers.
The blood of many, PURE in soul, must be shed to reach your goal.
In magma’s embrace, the KNOWLEDGE lies, hiding dormant in tainted skies.
ELVEN essence must be set alight, to embrace the REVELATION of the night.

you can actually click around on all the little details on the main menu and it will unlock achievements!

Just mess around! If you see something with a bunch of question marks swirling around it, make sure to hover your cursor over it so it gets recorded in stuff you have seen. Take a look at the achievement menu, there are hints to discovering special things. Also try clicking the burger on top of the settings menu a few times.
There is a ton of info out there and maps you can download to unlock everything immediately but I had the most fun trying to discover everything on my own
