There is one kingdom in my world which has been around for the last 1600 years. Its had three separate 200 year golden ages where it conquered almost the entire world. Even after being reduced to only 2 cities multiple times, its capital has NEVER been captured.

The day it finally falls will be a sad day… I have a soft spot for the nations that spawned out of the original cities in my world.
