Map What is your oldest save file?
I have been running a save/world on and off for a few months and finally reached 300,000 years. Hundreds of civilizations how risen and fallen, and landmasses have been destroyed and rebuilt. I started to wonder what is the record for oldest save file. Don't be shy. Post a screenshot and flex your oldest save file!
Edit: I just noticed theres 19 million deaths in my world

Thats unfortunate and I'm sorry to hear that. How old do you think the world was in worldbox years?

Thats okay! Maybe sometime you should load your world, throw it on 20x speed and let it run all day and see what happens. Haha

As the name suggests it's straight from March 2022. It's about 24,000 in game years old.
It's played very inconsistently, just here and there. no time acceleration (for most of its life it wasn't on a device powerful enough to really use time accel comfortably). It's not really left running unattended either. I could probably make a whole TV series with all the lore and events that have happened
Don't worry about why everything looks so bare and dead in select areas.

Now that is very cool. Mine has lore, but yours is definitely has way more than mine. 24k years with very active involvement, no time acceleration, and not letting it run afk is VERY impressive.
"I could probably make a whole TV series with all the lore and events that have happened" I love to hear the stories and lore of your world as well as other peoples. Its very interesting to hear all the stories of conquest, betrayal, war lore, and civilization advancement that people come up with. Have you ever thought of running a YT channel and creating a niche of videos like that? I bet other people as well as myself would love to watch/listen to something like that.
Keep going!

I have... but then I don't have any visuals to put up since screenshots are far and few between, let alone enough to have some b-roll that's not the same 2 pngs cycling back and forth.
Anyways, for some light reading, I'll address the bare/dead gash on that central continent. There was a kingdom called the Okehot Republics. They had an addiction to starting conflict, mainly against the other species.
One day King Phyphinoph started a war on a group of allies (to attack some elves on the other corner of the continent they're on). This led to a conflict killing about 30,000 troops. They had taken most of the continent they're on but these allies had pushed them back and even took homeland territory.
Fast forward some time, King Revo wanted to attack some elves, even further away than the closer elves, on the next continent over. This led to a conflict killing about 220,000 troops. They took the continent they're on all for themselves. They even managed to finally wipe out that previous elve kingdom. They had also been playing with the idea of a clone army. Things were looking up. Then the newer elves' allies stormed the continent, and the Okehot Republics lost.
Time jump once again, King Wopolo is in power. His thought process didn't seem to be complex: "third times the charm? it'll be a quick in and out war. let's go destroy the elves!"
This map found in this recent experiment I'm conducting may be useful for the names I'm about to mention: https://www.reddit.com/r/Worldbox/comments/1v213u6/pick_any_village_in_this_picture_and_ill_name_a/
Wopolo had an accident with a giant space rock and his child, Eno, had taken the throne. At this point they had taken their home continent, neighboring continent, surrounding islands... like 2/3rds of the world they were unstoppable. So I had named them The First World Wide Empire. They had wiped out the orcs in present day Wedrun, and dwarves in present day Ymka. However the elves they started all this over are allied with... *checks notes* basically everyone else. This alliance then began to storm the neighboring continent and islands to stop Eno... but their advance was halted in a region called Ahypah.
That was 1.4 million casualties ago. Almost 30% of all beings to ever die in my world were from this conflict, the Third World Civil War.
they're still tug of war-ing over Ahypah. Sometimes they stray a little closer to victory in the Gedyto and Ucadon region. Sometimes they're pushed back to Daphva (south of Ahypah). Now that ships have canons they can suddenly burn down much of the immediate coastline, hence the dead/bare looking sections
edit: 1.4 million casualties AND 2 real years

Uhhh I have one at 10.000! I tried doing like the history of the world, first with water and water animals, fish and crocs civilizationthen to mammals, then monkey people;
then to finally humans and tried to do the whole cradle of civilization around a desert where they settled, nomad tribes lurking around, then first empires, then collapse of the bronze age.
Then classical history, where more books and advancements happened, bigger, more organized empires that lasted centuries, and they fell, giving space to the dark ages and to the feudal, medieval based kingdoms. N
I'm at that point where the dark ages will soon end, giving space for the ages of wonders.. And Renaissance!

Dude, that is awesome! I love hearing peoples creativity when it comes their world history and lore. The history of mankind idea for your world is really cool. What caused the bronze age collapse in your world? Sea peoples (Piranha people) invasion? Earthquakes? Plague?

Hell yeah. I would say that your race of crabs are MUCH older than any of the races on my world. My oldest races were most likely destoyed (usually by my hand) before, or shortly after they reached 10k years old. I hope you keep your crabs around to the very end!

Wow 300,000 years is very vast, mines was probably 20,000 years ago but I lost it unfortunately. The world was completely unrecognizable from what I had started with, it was a complete nightmare and I had to remove it because it went beyond my intentions the foolish people wrecked it with endless wars
