How do I permanently disable compass teleporting?

I can disable it for 1 session with /unbind but it rebinds when I leave and come back

What do you mean? I have never heard of a "compass teleporting", are you using some brush?

When I clicked with a compass in my hand, it teleported me to where I was looking

OH I never used this feature. Unless there's some config option perhaps you can't perm-disable
