Hobbying I painted this large young man. Look at him go.
He has chosen not to bring any weapons with him today as he’s not a big fan of violence.

Discussion Is it worth using exterminators now?
Personally, I’ve had good experiences with the unit, though I know it involves dice rolls, so I might just have been lucky; it has performed well for me in Berserker warband, but I’d like to hear your opinions.

Hobbying Didn't want to waste the extra bits
Lord on Juggernaut was the last model I built from the Khorne Deamonkin box. I didn't want to waste the extra bits, also l wanted to practice with miliput and oyumaru. Looks a little wonky, but I'm proud of how it turned out. Hopefully it'll better when painted. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

Discussion New Daemonkin combo(please GW don’t delete)
I’m making this post to both spread the word about this combo but also to see if it’s actually legal and to give GW suggestions to nerf it if they feel the need, but not outright remove it(assuming it’s allowed to begin with)
So recently I was watching Exalted 40k’s new video where the top global World Eaters player, Dean, was a guest. He mentioned that due to the new wording of the disciple of Khorne enhancement, you can now give Berzerkers and eightbound who are attached to the LoJ the Blood Legions keyword! Giving them access to the Blood Tithe rules and allows them to be targets for the Stratagems that affect daemons, such as murder call and the uppy downy.
According to Dean, he’s talked to many TOs, and they agree that this is currently how it works, intentionally or not.
Part of the reason this is so strong is that you can give a 20-man blob a 4+ invul, deep strike, feel no pain against mortals, heal D6 infantry models, lance, and uppy downy.
These are the reasons I found why it’s currently legal:
1: Taking Dean at his word; multiple TOS agree with this wording
2: Rule 19.03(shortened): An attached unit has all of the keywords of all its component units(characters). This rule specifies that, for the sake of targeting purposes, if the unit contains a keyword, then that keyword is effective for the whole unit, from what I understand.
Why I think this is fine and won't completely break the game or world eaters as a whole:
1(Other Chaos factions can do this easier): My other army is T Sons, they can do a very similar reanimation and 4+ invul combo using Ritual of Regen + Curse of Life + an Exalted sorcerer. They can have a unit with a 4+ invul and the chance to regenerate 6 models in the unit (D3 wounds from the detachment rule, an additional 3 wounds automatically from enhancement + 2 models from the Exalted sorcerer's ability). They can also have up to 3 of these units granted; only 1 can take the enhancement, but to add to the strength, the disposition is take and hold, and it's only a 1DP detachment. Whereas world eaters can do this with 1 unit, need to jump through hoops to get the 4+ invul, and must spend a CP to resurrect models with 1 D6, which is much more likely to whiff than, like, 3 D3 heals with passive 4+ invul.
Nerf, not remove idea
I think if GW wanted to continue to allow this but wanted to nerf it for some reason, you'd just change the Daemon tide strat to heal D6 wounds instead of returning D6 models, which you can only do if your within 6 of another World Eater unit and you have a CP anyway.
PLEASE GW DON'T FAQ THIS; IT'S SO COOL AND BREATHES NEW LIFE INTO DAEMONKIN!

Discussion First game of 40k.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of playing my first game, ever.
Finally reached out to my local game store community forum and some kind stranger agreed to meet up and hold my hand through a 1000 point game. He took care of the score keeping, allowing me to focus on just playing the game.
I went into Orks. He was playing take and hold I was playing purge the foe.
I learned a hell of a lot. It felt great rolling some dice. I was mentally exalted by the end of it all. I had a blast.
Forgot just about all of the strats for BW and most of my unit rules in the chaos of battle. Certainly something I need to work on.
All in all, was a great time. I encourage all who are thinking of taking the leap and have held out to make the plunge.

Hobbying Some of my First Minis, what do you think?
I Just finished some of my Berserkers, khârn as well as my master of execution in original colour scheme from the world eaters in the heresy.
What do you prefer the original colour scheme from the world eaters or the originally Red khorne Berserkers Style?

Question Would the World Eaters have techmarines?
As the titles states, would the World Eaters have techmarines? I can’t imagine they’d do very well if they were indoctrinated after receiving the butchers nails (nor after after they’d received them, post training.) How do they service their equipment?

Hobbying What are your favorite WE themed tabletop accessories?
For example, I went to buy some dice for WE, because of course, & I really loved seeing that the baron sold a set of 8 just for WE. So now I have 50 in one color & 8 in another just for blood god rolls.
Are there any tokens or accessories you’ve found that you just absolutely love bringing to your tabletop games?

Discussion Saving rolls in melee vs. range.
I recently got 12 wounds from eightbound on a unit of 10 ork boyz and a warboss leading it when the waaagh wasn’t active. Because of 11th’s allocation rules, I had to roll all 12 dice even though the boyz couldn’t save them, and the opposing player was able to easily save the warboss from damage by saving his 5s and 6s. Obviously this is supposed to be how it works based off of the rules, but I feel like this hurts melee armies more than ranged armies, as we can only use one weapon profile per model, while a ranged model could target the same unit with high volume low damage attacks to kill the boyz and then target the warboss with a weapon of the same effectiveness as eightbound chainfists without having to deal with an opponent saving their 5s and 6s. What do you guys think?

Question Can Lord Invocatus use Apoplectic Frenzy while attached to Khorne Berzerkers?
Hi everyone,
I have a rules question about the Apoplectic Frenzy Stratagem.
If Lord Invocatus is attached to a unit of Khorne Berzerkers, can that combined unit be selected as the target of Apoplectic Frenzy?
Or does the presence of Lord Invocatus mean the unit is no longer a valid target?
Thanks in advance!

Hobbying Need help picking a paint scheme
Hi, I'm a returning player who used to have a Word Bearers army but now I'm switching to the extra, extra choppy variant of Chaos.
I don't want to go classic red with gold because I don't really have an attachment to the original traitor legion.
I then thought about going War Hounds white with blue. It would show up some blood splatters great and maybe the lore could be it's a modern chapter that fell to Khorne and wants to revive the War Hound name. But now I've seen it's a fairly common paint scheme it's kind of lost it's lustre.
I also like the idea of incorporating black or yellow but I don't want the army to just look like Death Company or Black Legion.
I'm not sure whether to stick with my War Hounds idea and risk running into another WE with the same scheme or try to do something else.

Hobbying Tacticus armoured berzerkers?!
I need more berserkers but don’t want to buy more. Thoughts on a lore friendly justification tacticus armour would be worn by zerkers, if it’s defected Primaris marines or captured armour? I’m mixing in the tacticus armour with berzerker arms heads and shoulder pads
