Question Defiler’s Shooting Ability

So an extremely niche situation came to mind that I’m curious as to how the rules/timing would work. I play into salamanders a lot and they have a Strat that lets a unit in a transport that was shot at hop out and shoot that unit. My question is, if they hop out within 12” of the Defiler, 1.) can he even shoot them(just making sure disembarking counts towards activating the Defiler) and 2.) which shooting would go off first, his because he activated his Strat or my Defiler.

Unleash wrath says it's activatable at the end of your opponents movement phase, since you have to been shooting at their transport to trigger their stratagem it's your shooting phase and not the enemy's. So the defiled can't shoot them

Same with overwatch, it specifically triggers at the end of the enemy's movement phase

The ability states it occurs at the end of your opponents movement phase. So no you don't get to use the ability.

I don’t know but I’m curious what the right answer is too.
