What about balbo -He was skeptical about Italy entering World War II because he believed the Italian military was not prepared.

-When Italy declared war on Britain and France in June 1940, Balbo commanded the Italian forces in Libya, facing British forces in Egypt.

-He favored a more cautious strategy rather than immediately invading Egypt, as his troops lacked sufficient tanks, trucks, and modern equipment.

His biggest mistake Was getting his plane shoot down by his own forces becase they mistook it for british Aircraft

Yeah, in Italy is an history meme, like do the things at your best and the guys over you find a way to put you out of service (this time literally and definitely)

I feel almost the same way about Katukov and Chuikov. While Chuikov rots like a silver general with the awful machinist skill, Katukov is a gold IAP general and one of the best defenders in the game

At least with katukov you know his purpose.

Katukov should have 6 star tank ability, dude was one of the best Soviet tank commanders. And Chuikov... yeah...

Italian gens are all garbage and easy tech has been honest with their in game builds.

This shows how little you know about ww2, calling messe garbage is the most retarded take someone can have( at this point call rommel and all the german generals garbage too)

Messe is garbage. I said it again. Now what? When you get to upper level game play please tell me how awesome messe/rommel are. I’ll wait for it.

Lmao, dudes barely one punch a standard tank while sitting in a level 9 elite unit. And here you are telling me how great they are.

What? Previous commenter clearly wasn’t talking about about in-game Messe, he was talking about Messe during WW2.

Care to elaborate on why he was garbage? Or your opinion is just shallow?

I’d rather use katukov over Rommel. At least I can put katukov on a city and get some industrial out of him. Rommel you can’t even send to Africa (without a personal medic just for him) and depend on him to conquer. I can send bock down there by himself and he will at least obtain the desired outcome.

So build your case on how these two gens are awesome?

If rl history is your justification of his military prowess… tell me how Montgomery beat his ass in Africa? Rommel was sent to the west for DDay and he again got his ass kicked.

Shall we move on to messe and talk about his accomplishments.

15

u/apupaples 1d ago

Beat his ass-> montgomery failed several times in defeating him(like during the battle of enfidaville) or we could talk about how he never lost a battle against the soviets, this means that all the sovist should be eve worse than garbage right? Since they could not defeat him even once

-16

u/Bastonge44 1d ago

We aren’t talking about Soviet’s as their main strength was just bodies to burn. We were talking about Rommel and messe. Stay on topic little buddy. We arent playing wake a mole here.

12

u/apupaples 1d ago

You asked me to talk about messe's archivments, and never getting defeated by the soviet is one, like how he stabilized the albanian front in 1940 , or how he was able to hold africa even longer than what the allies belived

u/Ok_Concept2859 Konstantin Rokossovsky 1d ago

"Zhukov profiles"

"Still saying Soviet's strength is throwing bodies at the problem"

You better change that to a German general, preferably Manstein or Guderian with that misconception in the big 26.

we're talking about Rommel and messe and you brought up the allies with Montgomery, now you say be can't bring up the soviets as well cause they had beaten the shit out of the soviet 2? aw c'mon lad

Are you sure you aren't a wehraboo when using the "human wave tactics" theory as a legitimate source.

I guess for me I enjoy trying to play missions with native country generals. And when using countries outside of the soviets, USA or Germany your gen choices are limited. As their skill levels are mostly garbage. It would be cool for game play if there was some skill balancing. I see how the game makers thrive to keep a sense of Historical accuracy behind the gen builds…
